Washington DC
This morning you can start with Washington DC's major landmarks like the White House, Capitol, and Lincoln Memorial. Head over to Arlington National Cemetery, and if you're interested, the Smithsonian museums are worth your time. You could also take a day trip to historic Alexandria or Mount Vernon instead, and there are wineries on the way back from Mount Vernon if that sounds good.

Washington DC to Philadelphia
Drive north through Maryland, passing Baltimore and along Chesapeake Bay, then into Pennsylvania. You'll arrive in Philadelphia by evening and can take a walk along the Delaware River before checking into your hotel for a 2-night stay in this historic city where the Declaration of Independence was signed.

Philadelphia
Spend time exploring Philadelphia's history and culture. Head to Independence Hall where the Constitution was drafted, then check out the Betsy Ross House. Climb the Rocky Steps at the Museum of Art and wander through the Franklin Institute. Later, relax at Rittenhouse Square or do some shopping for tax-free clothing and shoes.

New York
Over the next couple of days, check out New York's main attractions. Walk through Central Park, head down to Wall Street, see Lincoln Center and Times Square. Consider catching a Broadway musical, visiting the Statue of Liberty, taking the elevator up the Empire State Building, or heading to Rockefeller Center for views over the city. You can also walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, take a water taxi tour, or catch a sports game if one's happening.

Boston
