Itinerary
- Day 1
San José to Tortuguero
Your hotel pickup starts around 6 am, and from there you'll drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park heading toward the jetty. The boat ride takes about an hour as you travel through the canals to reach your lodge. Later in the afternoon, another boat trip takes you to Tortuguero village where you'll do a short walk around. You're settling in for a 2-night stay here in the national park.

- Day 2
Tortuguero
After breakfast, you'll head out on a guided hike to explore the rainforest, then transition to a boat tour through the small canals. While traveling through the swampy palm groves, keep your eyes open for monkeys, crocodiles, turtles, and tropical birds. The combination of walking and water travel gives you different angles to spot wildlife throughout the day.

- Day 3
Tortuguero to San José
This morning includes an approximately 1-hour boat trip back to the landing stage. You'll have lunch in Guápiles after that, then the drive back to San José begins. Your hotel arrival is around 3:30 pm, wrapping up your time in the national park.
