Itinerary
- Day 1
Tortuguero National Park
You'll start with a morning transfer heading to Tortuguero National Park. From there, it's time to get in a canoe and glide through the waterways, where you'll spot all kinds of wildlife in the jungle. Once you arrive at your eco-lodge, take a walk around Tortuguero village to get a feel for the local area and how people live there.

- Day 2
Tortuguero
Start early and head out on a guided canoe tour through Tortuguero's waterways with a naturalist who knows the area well. You'll see tropical birds, monkeys, and other jungle animals throughout the morning and into the afternoon. If you're interested, there's an optional night turtle nesting tour in the evening (costs extra).

- Day 3
Río Pacuare
You're heading to Río Pacuare for a day of Class III whitewater rafting. Navigate through the rapids and feel the power of the river as you move downstream. By noon you'll arrive at Pacuare River Lodge where you can relax and swim, or take an afternoon hike if you want more activity. You'll spend the night there surrounded by jungle sounds.

Landmarks Río Pacuare - Day 4
Río Pacuare to San José, La Fortuna, or Puerto Viejo
This final day brings a Class IV whitewater rafting experience on Río Pacuare. Between the rapids, you'll hike to a hidden waterfall and have lunch by the river. After the rafting wraps up, you'll transfer back to your destination, choosing between San José, La Fortuna, or Puerto Viejo.
