The optional activities were fantastic, especially the jungle hikes and adventures. It would have been nice to actually go into Manuel Antonio National park though. Absolutely no issues with transportation and all the meals were AMAZING. The accommodation was pretty average but clean and in a good location. We did all of the optional activities and loved every one of them. It was so great having all the transportation and lodging arranged so that we didn't have to worry about a thing but were able to pack A LOT into one week. We flew from WI which was a 5.5 hour flight. We decided to arrive a day early in order to be rested and showered before our first day with the group and I'm so glad we did. Our guides Emily and Angelo were so friendly and welcoming. It really felt like they were just along on the trip with us. It is important to note that weather conditions like heat, humidity, and rain can change trail conditions and the intensity of the activity. Don't worry though the trip leaders are fantastic at keeping you challenged while also looking after your safety and the hikers who like to take their time.

If you are not aware Costa Rica is home to some of the best tropical fruit in the world! You will not want to miss trying some of the freshest mango, pineapple, papaya, guanabana, or lychees that you have ever tasted.
