Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco to Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
Your hotel in Cusco picks you up at 7:30 am to start the day. First stop is Sacred Valley Lookout Point where you'll get some good photo opportunities, then you head down to Pisaq Market to walk through the stalls where local vendors sell textiles and fresh vegetables. From there, you drive up to Pisaq Inca Archaeological Site sitting high on the mountainside. After exploring the ruins, you'll travel through the valley to Urubamba and stop for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Later in the afternoon, you continue to Ollantaytambo to see the Inca ruins and the Temple of the Sun. By evening, you head to the train station and settle in for a scenic 2-hour train ride through the Cloud Forest down to Aguas Calientes, where your hotel is waiting for you.

- Day 2
Machu Picchu and return to Cusco
You start with breakfast at your hotel, then take a 25-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu. Once you arrive, you and your guide figure out the best time to explore the Sacred City, and you have the option to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain if you want those elevated views. Your guide takes you through Machu Picchu's most significant sites, and then you get free time to take photos at your own pace before heading back down by bus to Aguas Calientes. You grab lunch there at a restaurant you pick out. In the afternoon, you board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and from there you transfer by road back to your hotel in Cusco.
