Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive at the airport and get transferred to your hotel. After getting settled, spend the rest of the day walking around Rio de Janeiro on your own. There's plenty to see if you want to get out and explore the neighborhoods, grab food, or just get oriented with the city.
- Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
This is a full day of sightseeing across Rio. Start at Corcovado mountain to check out the Christ the Redeemer statue, then head into Tijuca Forest to see the urban rainforest. You'll stop at Maracana Stadium and the Sambadrome, then visit Metropolitan Cathedral. Later, get to Sugarloaf Mountain and take the famous cable car up. The day also includes time at Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon beaches, so you'll get a good mix of Rio's main spots.

Tijuca National Park
An ecological tour takes you through Tijuca National Park. Start early at Pedra Bonita's hang gliding ramp where you get views across Rio. The Pedra Bonita trail is easy and takes about 40 minutes, giving you panoramic city views the whole way. From there, continue deeper into Tijuca Forest to see Taunay Waterfall and Mayrink Chapel. The visitor center is next, then you'll head to Cachoeira das Almas waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim.

Rio de Janeiro to Pantanal
Leave your Rio hotel and travel to the airport for a flight to Campo Grande. Once you land, it's a 142 km trip to your lodge in the Pantanal, which involves 100 km by road and 42 km via Transpantaneira. Along the way, you'll make stops to photograph wildlife, so bring your camera ready.

Pantanal
After breakfast, head out into the jungle with a local guide who'll teach you about the wildlife and plant life around you. Then you'll go piranha fishing. Later, after dinner, you'll do a nighttime tour to spot caimans and see what other animals are active after dark.

- Day 6
Pantanal
After eating breakfast, explore the Pantanal's animals and plants on horseback, which gives you a different perspective on the landscape. Head back to the lodge for lunch and to rest. In the afternoon, take a boat out on the water to see birds and mammals. You'll be on the water for several hours observing the local wildlife.

Pantanal
Have breakfast and then do a morning hike to look for Pantanal wildlife and plants. Once you're back at the lodge after lunch, relax in the hammocks for a bit. Later in the afternoon, hop into a specialized vehicle for a photographic safari where you can get close-up shots of the animals you see.

Pantanal to Departure
This morning you'll transfer back to Campo Grande along the same route you came in on, making the 142 km journey back. Your team will then drive you to the airport for your flight home.
