10 Days in Argentina & Brazil, incl. Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro
Three major Brazilian cities come alive over 10 days: Foz do Iguaçu for the falls, Rio for Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, plus optional excursions to Buzios or Arraial do Cabo. Accommodations include 4-star hotels with daily breakfast and guided city tours.
- Days 1-3
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Spend your first three days exploring the sophisticated Argentine capital's diverse neighborhoods. "The combination walking, bus and subway tour with Gisela was excellent - her 30 years of experience really showed in her knowledge of the city." Start in modern Puerto Madero before wandering the historic cobblestone streets of San Telmo. Consider booking a tango show at El Querandi for $92. Previous guests loved the "outstanding three-course dinner with wine and professional performance."
- Days 4-5
Iguazu Falls
Catch a morning flight to Puerto Iguazu. A tip: pack light since checked bags cost $35 per flight. Visit both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls. "The Argentine side has more falls but direct sun exposure, while the Brazilian side offers better panoramic views and shaded walkways." Start with the Argentine side ($144 including lunch and border crossing) followed by the Brazilian side next day. You'll definitely get wet so bring rain gear.
- Days 6-9
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Take a 2.5-hour flight to Rio and stay near Copacabana Beach. Your full-day tour includes Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. Going early helps avoid crowds and hazy views. Many visitors recommend adding the Ginga Tropical samba show with rodizio dinner. One guest noted: "The Arena Copacabana Hotel's location is perfect - you're surrounded by beach bars with live music, yet it feels very safe."

10 Days in Brazil, incl. Rio de Janeiro and Iguazu Falls
The 10-day Brazilian tour showcases 5 major destinations, from Rio's Christ the Redeemer to Iguazu Falls. Marvel at Paraty's UNESCO center, São Paulo's Mercadão market, and savor traditional Brazilian barbecues while staying in comfortable hotels.
- Days 1-3
Rio de Janeiro:
Spend three full days exploring Brazil's most famous city. Start day one in Copacabana where most hotels are located. Visit Christ the Redeemer early on day two. Take the first tram at 8:00 AM to avoid crowds and heat. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and Selarón Steps in the afternoon when lighting is best for photos. On day three go to Sugarloaf Mountain. Time your visit for sunset to see the city lights come alive.
- Days 4-5
Paraty:
Take a 4-hour drive along Costa Verde to colonial Paraty. Wear shoes with good grip since cobblestone streets get slippery in the rain. Walk through the UNESCO-listed historic center and join a morning schooner boat trip to quiet beaches. Praia do Sono offers great swimming spots after a 20-minute walk on a trail.
- Day 6
Transit Day:
- Days 7-9
Iguazu Falls:
Take three days to explore Iguazu Falls and the area. Start on the Brazilian side for wide views before crossing to Argentina for closer looks. A recent visitor said: "The boat ride under the falls was incredible – but bring a waterproof bag for your camera and expect to get completely soaked!" You can visit Paraguay's Ciudad del Este but allow 1-2 hours for border crossing during busy times.

- Brazil and Argentina with Iguazu Falls 4 Star
I recently had the pleasure of taking a two week trip to Argentina and Brazil with Wonderful Holidays and our travel agent, Erica. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. Erica was a true professional, always quick to respond to our questions and concerns, and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs as a family. She truly made the planning process a breeze, allowing us to focus on the excitement of our upcoming adventure. The guides we had in both Argentina and Brazil were top-notch and made us feel completely safe and secure throughout our trip. They were knowledgeable, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. The trip itself was an incredible journey through the beautiful landscapes and rich cultures of both countries. From the stunning natural wonders of Iguazu Falls to the vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro, we were constantly amazed by the sights and experiences we had. Overall, I would highly recommend Wonderful Holidays to anyone looking to plan a trip. They truly exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be using them again in the future. Thanks to Erica and her team, we have memories that will last a lifetime.
- Argentina & Brazil Adventure (4 destinations)
This was a really good trip - small group, entertaining leader, lots of fun. I'd suggest to arrive early to spend a bit more time in Buenos Aires. The best part was Iguazu Falls. We got to spend ample time at both sides of the Falls, which was fantastic as each side provided different views. Arraial do Cabo was a nice surprise - we were the only foreign tourists there so it was a more "authentic" experience. And of course Rio was as beautiful as I expected.
