Itinerary

Arrival in Amman
You'll land at Amman Queen Alia International Airport where someone from the tour company meets you before you go through passport control. They'll help you with your visa paperwork and get through immigration smoothly. After that, your driver takes you to your hotel in Petra, so you can settle in and rest after your flight.

Mount Nebo - Little Petra
Breakfast happens at your hotel before you head out to Madaba, called the 'City of Mosaics' for good reason. You'll see Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, including the well-known Mosaic Map inside the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. From there, you go to Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Holy Land, with churches and monasteries to look around. Grab lunch on your own, then visit Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), a smaller Nabataean site carved into the canyon with some really interesting architecture. You're back at your Petra hotel by evening.

Wadi Rum
After breakfast, spend your day at Petra, the ancient Nabataean city that's a UNESCO site and one of the Seven Wonders. The Petra Museum has about 280 artifacts spread across five halls showing you the history and Nabataean civilization if you want more context. You'll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you transfer to a camp in Wadi Rum for dinner cooked underground using the traditional Zarb method, then sleep in a bubble where you can see the stars at night.

Dead Sea
After eating at the camp, you take a 2-hour jeep tour through Wadi Rum (the Valley of the Moon) across sand dunes and rock formations. You'll see old Nabataean temples, water systems, and ancient carvings. Later, you head to the Dead Sea, which is the lowest point on Earth. You can float in the incredibly salty water and it's a unique feeling. There's time to relax with the therapeutic mud and waters before dinner.

Amman
You drive to Amman after breakfast and walk around Rainbow Street, grabbing something light to eat. The graffiti tour shows you street art around the city. Then you check into your Amman hotel and have dinner there.

Ajloun - Amman
After breakfast, you drive north to Jerash, an ancient city mixing Greco-Roman and Oriental styles with over 6,500 years of history. It was one of the ten great Roman cities called the Decapolis League. You get free time for lunch. Next, you go to Ajloun to see the Ayyubid castle (Qal'at Ar-Rabad) surrounded by pine forests. It played a role in defeating Crusaders centuries ago. Back in Amman, you spend about 2 hours downtown checking out the Citadel, Roman Theater, Archaeological Museum, Folklore Museum, King Abdullah Mosque, and the bazaar before dinner.

Departure
