- Damon· September 15th, 2025I booked with Greca and they are a Greek company that markets tours for Latitude. From what I can tell, most of the tour guides are contractors. You can read a review about how great guide X is for company A and when you are there, she is now doing a tour for company B. If you want to get around Turkey and see several different areas, I recommend this tour. Gas was about $6 USD per gallon and many of the attractions we went to cost 30-60 Euros to enter. I felt like it was a good value and I would have been exhausted if I was driving everywhere. I liked how my tour had 9 people on it and was not in one of the huge busses. It appears that many companies follow the exact same route and stay in the same hotels. We ran into the same tourists at several locations. My only complaints with my tour was that they didn't tell me where to meet them when I landed for my flight, the hotel in Ankara was miles away from anything to see that night, they stopped at a few annoying gas stations for lunch that weren't great, and the hotel in Istanbul was not very nice (three nights). The rest of the trip was good and it was exhausting to see so much in that period of time.Show more

I would prefer not to drive..would a free transfer to the Heraklion airport be available for those who choose not to use the rental car? Is there a guarantee that the flight from Heraklion would arrive at a certain fixed time at Athens airport?

If you're looking for a package which does not include a rental car, you can take a look at the Minos II package. This adventure includes the transportation from Heraklion to Chania. We usually book early morning flights. We recommend booking your departing flight from Athens after 12:30 PM to avoid connection problems.
