Itinerary
- Day 1
Germany/Austria/Switzerland to Luang Prabang
You'll depart from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland on a flight with Qatar Airways or another airline heading to Luang Prabang. This is where your Southeast Asian journey starts.
 - Day 2
Luang Prabang
Your local guide meets you at the airport in Luang Prabang and takes you to the hotel for check-in. After settling in, you'll have the rest of the day to adjust to the time zone.

Luang Prabang
This morning you'll walk through Vat Visoun, the city's oldest temple, then check out Vat Xieng Thong and Vat Senna with your guide. After lunch, a motorboat takes you to Pak Ou Cave where you'll see Buddhist statues lining the cavern walls.

Luang Prabang
Start at the National Museum housed in the former royal palace to see the royal family's personal items. Later, drive to Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can relax in the shaded areas below or hike up to find limestone pools carved naturally into the landscape.

Luang Prabang to Hanoi
After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Your driver will be waiting when you land and will take you directly to the hotel.

 - Day 6
Hanoi
Today covers quite a bit of ground in Hanoi. You'll see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a traditional stilt house, and the 11th-century one-pillar pagoda. After that, the Ethnographic Museum shows Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, then it's on to the Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first university from 1070). By evening you'll explore the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake before catching a water puppet theater performance.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll leave Hanoi early in the morning and reach Halong Bay by midday. Board a traditional wooden junk and start exploring the bay's formations. Local seafood is served for lunch and dinner on the boat.

Halong Bay to Hoi An
Rise early to catch Halong Bay at its best with clear waters and good light. After breakfast, cruise past the sandstone formations and unique islands, then check out around 10:30 am. From there, head back to the harbor, transfer to Hanoi Airport, fly to Danang, and drive to your hotel in Hoi An.

Hoi An
Cycle through the lagoon area to Tra Que village, known for its herb and spice gardens. You'll help local farmers with harvesting and learn about the area's cooking traditions before trying the food. In the afternoon, walk through Hoi An's UNESCO-listed center to see the Japanese bridge, Chinese temple, and Phung Hung house.

Head south toward Hue, driving over Hai Van Pass for coastal views along the way. Once there, you'll visit Emperor Minh Mang's tomb and Thien Mu Pagoda. By late afternoon, explore the citadel.

Transfer to Hue airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After arrival and transfer to the city center, you'll see the old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral's exterior, the War Museum, and Dong Khoi Street. You'll have free time afterward to explore on your own.

Board a boat at Cai Be for a cruise through the Mekong Delta, watching riverside life pass by. You'll stop at Tan Phong Island to walk or cycle through villages and visit local families. See traditional crafts from water hyacinths and rice paper, then travel by sampan through narrow canals to An Binh Island for traditional music and tea. Visit a local brick factory before returning to Saigon by afternoon.

Angkor Complex
Drive through tree-lined roads to Angkor Thom and visit Bayon Temple with its 54 towers carved with smiling faces (built 12th-13th centuries). See the 11th-century Baphuon temple, the 350-meter Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of the Leper King from the 12th century. Afternoon brings a visit to Angkor Wat to explore its architecture and central nave.

Angkor Complex
Visit Banteay Srei, a pink sandstone temple called the 'Citadel of Women' with detailed carvings. Though small, it's one of the best-restored temples there. Then continue through Cambodian countryside to the secluded Banteay Samre temple. End the day at Ta Prohm, the famous 'Tomb Raider Temple' from the 12th century where ruins blend into the forest.
