Itinerary
- Day 1
Zurich
You'll land at Zurich airport and get picked up based on your flight arrival. After grabbing your luggage, the rest of the day is yours to explore Zurich on your own terms. Wander around the old town, check out what interests you, and find somewhere to eat dinner. Your accommodation for the night is near the airport, so you won't have far to go to settle in.

Rhine Falls
Start by heading to Rhine Falls, which is one of Europe's largest waterfalls and worth seeing from the various viewing platforms along the cliff. There's an optional boat tour available for CHF 15 per person if you want to get closer to the water and feel the spray. After that, you'll walk through Zurich's main attractions on your own, taking in the Town Hall, Cathedral, Opera House, and the historic streets that make up the old town. Your Swiss Pass covers transportation to Rhine Falls and getting around Zurich, so those costs are already handled.

Zurich to Interlaken Region
Take the train from Zurich down to Interlaken early in the day, and you'll have the whole time there to explore. The highlight is getting to the car-free villages of Mürren and Wengen in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, which offer incredible views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau if the weather cooperates. You can hike any of the trails in the area, or if hiking doesn't appeal to you, head to Trummelbach Falls instead, which is a series of ten waterfalls fed by glacier melt running inside the mountain. You'll take a tunnel-funicular up and walk through illuminated passages to see them. Your day pass covers regional trains, but mountain trains and cable cars need separate tickets. You'll catch an evening train back to Zurich.

Mount Rigi
Take the train from Zurich to Lucerne, then continue on to Engelberg. From there, take the gondola and cable car up Mount Titlis for high alpine views, rock formations, and snow. The Ice Flyer chairlift gives you a unique experience flying over the glacier. Later in the afternoon, head to Mount Rigi by train and cable car to see classic Swiss landscape with meadows, forests, and cattle grazing. Finish your day with a boat ride on Lake Lucerne, where you'll see small villages along the shore and mountain scenery all around. An evening train gets you back to Zurich.
