Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier to Chefchaouen
Your Morocco adventure kicks off in Tangier where you'll check out the clifftop views where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. From there, head to Cap Spartel lighthouse and then down into the Caves of Hercules. After that, you've got about a 2-hour drive through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the famous blue city. Once you arrive, you can walk through the narrow blue-washed streets, see the Kasbah, and try some local food. There's free time if you want to do some mountain hiking.

- Day 2
Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Start with free time wandering through Chefchaouen's blue alleys before heading out. Next, you'll travel to the Roman Ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with intricate mosaics and temples scattered throughout. Then it's on to Meknes where you'll see the Bab Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later you'll head to Fes and check into a traditional riad for the night.

- Day 3
Fes
A local guide takes you through Fes to show you the city's history and culture. You'll see the Royal Palace with its grand gates and gardens, then check out the Bou Inania Madrasa's architecture. Learn about the Kairaouine Mosque, one of the world's oldest universities. After that, wander through the medina souks and visit the famous tanneries where artisans work leather the traditional way. Grab a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

Fes to Ifrane to Midelt to Merzouga Desert
Travel from Fes to Ifrane, called 'Little Switzerland' because of its Swiss-style architecture and parks. You'll pass through the Middle Atlas region and stop in Cedar Forests to photograph Barbary macaques, then see Midelt's apple orchards. Drive through the Ziz Valley with its palm groves and dramatic cliffs, pass through Erfoud, and arrive in Merzouga Desert. Take a camel ride to Erg Chebbi sand dunes, then settle into a traditional Berber tent camp with mint tea, live music, and stargazing.

- Day 5
Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley to Ouarzazate
Wake early if you want to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then have breakfast in camp before riding camels back to Merzouga. Visit the town of Rissani with its souk and try local pastries and berber pizza. Later, check out the Gorge du Todra with its impressive cliffs and landscapes. Continue to Dades Valley to see the dramatic 'Monkey Fingers' rock formations. Pass through Kalaat Megouna, known for roses, and Skoura with its palm groves and historic kasbahs before reaching Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou to Essaouira
After breakfast, visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site with traditional earthen clay kasbahs and views of the Atlas Mountains. It's a popular filming location with great photo opportunities. Then head to Essaouira, known for its blue and white medina, vibrant markets, and historic ramparts. Spend the evening walking around charming streets, checking out local artisan shops, trying fresh seafood at the port, and watching the sunset.
