Start with a pickup from the airport, then drive through coastal roads heading into the highlands. The journey takes you through the High Pyrenees and ends in Queralbs where you'll settle in. You have the evening to rest and prepare for the mountain adventures ahead.

Puigmal Ascent
Hike to Puigmal's summit at 2913m following routes through green pastures with views toward the Nuria plateau. As terrain gets rockier, watch for wildlife like wild boar, chamois, and ibex. The summit provides 360-degree views and features a colorful cross marking the top.

Sierra de Cadi Hike
Head to the Sierra de Cadi mountains and climb peaks such as Volturo or Comabona, which are moderately challenging despite the altitude. Drive to Refugio Prat d'Aguillo at 2000m, then hike on foot through grassy slopes. The area's known for bearded vultures and chamois, with northern flank views throughout.

Andorra Mountain Lakes
Start from Coma de Forat parking lot in Andorra and hike through side valleys on quiet mountain paths. You'll pass three lakes, Estany Primer, Estany del Mig, and Estany de Mes Amunt, while circling Pic de Tristaina near 2900m. Snow patches may still be around at this elevation. Evening is free to walk around local shops.

Comapedrosa Ascent
Climb Andorra's highest peak, Comapedrosa, starting from Arinsal parking lot on well-maintained paths. The route includes minimal hand-climbing near the top, passing Refugio Comapedrosa and Laguna Truita with mountain trout. Green plains and multiple Estanys Negre lakes come before the steep final ridge leading to 360-degree summit views.

Ax-les-Thermes and Orlu Wolf Enclosure
Take a lighter day after yesterday's climb, heading to Ax-les-Thermes spa town in southern France. You can optionally soak your feet in the thermal water if interested. After that, check out the Orlu wolf enclosure loop set in diverse mountain forests to learn about wolf breeds and behavior. Stay near Mont Louis rather than in town.

High Peaks near Formigueres
Leave from mountain village Formigueres and climb through untouched landscape with isolated high peaks. The first 300 meters show some ski tourism effects, but higher up you'll find pristine scenery. Walk past numerous lakes over stony ridges with views across large portions of the eastern Pyrenees from the peak areas.

Landmarks Formigueres - Day 8
Pic Carlit Ascent
Climb Pic Carlit, an almost 3000-meter peak dominating the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Start from Lac des Bouillouses at 2000m and tackle the steep, rocky ascent on well-marked but challenging paths. Several lakes break up the climb, and the summit provides extensive panoramic views across the landscape.

Landmarks Pic Carlit Lac des Bouillouses - Day 9
Pic Pades and Arrival in Barcelona
Climb Pic Pades, historically regarded as the Pyrenees' highest mountain. Starting from Refugio Mariailles, cross through extensive fir forests and navigate a wild river gorge with the Cadi river. The summit shows Portaille de Valmanya and Breche Durier with uninterrupted mountain views meeting the sea 30km away. Head to Barcelona in the afternoon.
