Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
Your driver will meet you at Cairo airport and take you to your hotel. After a welcome meeting to get oriented, the rest of the day is open for relaxing or exploring at your own pace. It's a good chance to adjust to the time zone and get familiar with your surroundings.

- Day 2
Giza and Saqqara
After breakfast, your private Egyptology guide joins you for a full day exploring Egypt's most famous pyramids. You'll start at Saqqara to see the oldest pyramid built by King Djoser around 4800 B.C., then head to Giza to check out the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Myrcenes. The iconic Sphinx is also on the itinerary, and your guide will explain the history and significance of each site throughout the day.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
Your driver picks you up early, around 4:30 am, for the transfer to Cairo airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. After you arrive and collect luggage, you'll be transferred to your 5-star Nile cruise, checking in by noon and having lunch on board. In the afternoon, your guide takes you through the massive Karnak Temple, then you'll visit Luxor Temple before returning to the cruise for dinner and overnight.

- Day 4
West Bank of Luxor
Get up around 5:00 to 5:30 am for a hot air balloon ride over the Nile and ancient monuments, which lasts about 30 to 40 minutes. After returning and having breakfast, you'll spend your day on the West Bank with your guide, visiting the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. You'll be back to the cruise by noon for lunch, then relax on deck with afternoon tea as you sail down the Nile before overnight in Edfu.

- Day 5
Edfu to Aswan
Following breakfast, you'll take a horse carriage ride with your guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt's most complete temples. Back on the cruise, you'll relax on deck while sailing down the Nile to Kom Ombo and enjoy the river scenery. Lunch is served on board along with afternoon tea. In the late afternoon, your guide will take you to the double temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and falcon god Horus. After dinner and a folkloric show by the cruise staff, you'll continue sailing to Aswan for overnight.

- Day 6
Abu Simbel
Your guide picks you up very early, around 4:00 to 4:30 am, for the 3 to 4 hour drive to Abu Simbel. You'll visit these impressive rock-cut temples built for King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. Returning to the cruise around 2:00 to 2:30 pm, you'll have lunch and the afternoon is free. There's an optional visit to a Nubian village if you're interested. Dinner is served on board followed by a Nubian show before overnight in Aswan.

- Day 7
Aswan to Cairo
After breakfast at 8 am, you'll check out and explore Aswan's highlights with your guide, learning about Nubian history. You'll visit the High Dam, built in 1960 to protect Egypt from flooding and generate electricity. Then you'll take a small motorboat to Philae Temple, a Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later, your driver transfers you to Aswan Airport for your evening flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

- Day 8
Cairo Departure
You'll have breakfast and check out around 8 am, then optionally join a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum to see the Tutankhamun exhibit and royal mummies. Afterward, explore Cairo's historic churches, the Hanging Church, Church of St. George, and Church of St Sergius, all built into the Babylon Fortress walls. You can choose between visiting Khan al-Khalili Bazaar, a traditional marketplace, or the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha at the Citadel. Your driver takes you to Cairo Airport for your departure flight home.
