Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo airport and meet your guide for a transfer to the hotel. After checking in and getting a quick briefing on the itinerary, the rest of the day is open. If your flight gets in early, there are optional evening activities like catching the sound and light show at the pyramids or taking a Nile dinner cruise, but relaxing at the hotel is also a solid choice after traveling.

- Day 2
Cairo to Luxor
An early pickup happens around 4:30 am to get you to Cairo airport for the morning flight to Luxor. Once you land, you'll head to your 5-star Nile cruise and get settled by noon. Lunch comes next, then around 3 pm you'll head out to walk through Karnak temple with its enormous Great Hypostyle Hall and 2000 years of history. After that, you'll check out Luxor temple which shows layers of Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic architecture before heading back to the ship for dinner.

- Day 3
Luxor West Bank
You'll get picked up around 5 to 5:30 am for a hot air balloon ride lasting 30 to 40 minutes over the Nile and the monuments on Luxor's West Bank. Back on solid ground, you'll have breakfast and then spend the morning at the Theban Necropolis, seeing the Valley of the Kings where pharaohs built their tombs, Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple, and the Memnon statues for photos. You'll return to the cruise by noon for lunch, then spend the afternoon on the sundeck with tea while sailing through Esna Lock toward Edfu for the night.

- Day 4
Edfu to Aswan
After breakfast, you'll take a horse carriage with your guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, which is the best preserved Egyptian temple around. Back on the cruise, you'll relax on deck watching the Nile landscape as you sail toward Kom Ombo. Lunch and afternoon tea come on board, then late afternoon you'll visit the double temple at Kom Ombo dedicated to Sobek and Horus. You'll return for dinner, catch a folkloric show, and continue sailing to Aswan overnight.

Abu Simbel
Your guide picks you up around 4 to 4:30 am for the Abu Simbel trip, which is about a 3 to 4 hour drive to see the rock-cut temples built for King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. It's a shared group experience by minibus. You'll head back to the cruise around 2 to 2:30 pm for lunch. The afternoon is free, so you could check out the Nubian village if interested. After dinner on board, there's a Nubian show, then overnight in Aswan.

- Day 6
Aswan to Cairo
Check out after breakfast at 8 am and explore Aswan's highlights with your guide, learning about Nubian immigration and culture. You'll visit the High Dam built in 1960 to control flooding and provide electricity, then take a small motorboat to Philae temple, a Greco-Roman temple for the goddess Isis. Later you'll transfer to the airport for your evening flight back to Cairo. Once you land, you'll be picked up and taken to your hotel for the night.

- Day 7
Cairo Pyramids and Saqqara
After breakfast, your private Egyptology guide will take you through the pyramid sites starting with Saqqara in chronological order. You'll see the Step Pyramid, which dates to 4800 BC and was built by King Djoser as the oldest pyramid in Egypt. Lunch happens during the tour, then you'll head to Giza to walk through the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Myrcenes plus the Great Sphinx. You'll get plenty of time for photos of these 4500-year-old structures before returning to the hotel.

Cairo Departure
After breakfast, check out around 8 am and meet your guide for optional sightseeing. You can choose between the Egyptian Museum to see the Tutankhamun exhibit and golden mask, famous churches like the Hanging Church and Church of St. George, or pick either Khan al-Khalili Bazaar or the Alabaster Mosque at Salah Al Din Citadel. After your morning activity, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight home with your representative helping with the details.
