Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Treviso to Corvara

You'll start with a transfer from Treviso to San Vito di Cadore, then hop on a dedicated bike path that follows the old rail line all the way to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Stop for an espresso on Corso Italia to catch your breath before tackling Passo Falzarego, which is the real test for the day. After that comes a thrilling downhill run to La Villa and Corvara. If you're stronger on climbs, there's an option to do Passo Giau instead and arrive via the easier Passo Campolongo route.

    Sellaronda Loop

Today you're taking on the Sellaronda, and you'll be working through some serious climbs including Passo Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella, and Gardena. This ride has a real reputation for good reason. If you want to push yourself further, you can add Passo Giau to the mix, though that steep climb will really test your legs by day's end.

You've got choices today. Go for Passo Gavia if you want another big climb, or take a lighter route up to Laghi di Cancano. The Gavia from Bormio's side is easier than coming from Ponte di Legno, but it's still a long grind. Either way, spend some time in Bormio and try Pizzoccheri della Valtellina, a local dish with buckwheat noodles, potatoes, and cheese.
