Arrival in Nairobi
Your driver will meet you when you land and take you straight to your hotel in the city. Once there, you'll have time to settle in, rest up, and get ready for the safari that's coming your way.

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you'll head out toward Samburu National Reserve, traveling via Buffalo Springs and the Nanyuki Isiolo road. By midday you'll reach the lodge for lunch and check-in, then an afternoon game drive gets you looking for wildlife across the park.

Samburu National Reserve
This morning starts early with a game drive before breakfast. You'll spend the day exploring Samburu to find the Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and beisa oryx, which live only in this part of Kenya.

Samburu to Sweetwaters Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast you'll leave Samburu and head to Sweetwaters Wildlife Sanctuary, with a game drive along the way. There you'll visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary where the Jane Goodall Institute cares for orphaned chimps, see the black rhino refuge, and do game viewing.

Sweetwaters to The Ark Forest Lodge
You're heading to The Ark Forest Lodge or Serena Mountain Forest Tree Lodge in the foothills between Aberdare and Mount Kenya National Park. Both sit on high perches with balconies overlooking a salt lick and waterhole, giving you great views for spotting game from above.

Landmarks Aberdare National Park - Day 6
Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you'll travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingos and water birds. You'll arrive in time for lunch and check-in, then in the afternoon go out on a boat ride to see hippos and birds, followed by a game drive.

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
You'll travel to Maasai Mara, getting there in time to check into your camp and have lunch. After eating, you'll head out on an afternoon game drive until about 6:30 to start exploring Kenya's best wildlife sanctuary.

- Day 8
Maasai Mara
Get up early for a hot air balloon ride over the reserve. After landing you'll have breakfast, then head out on a long game drive to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, Thomson's gazelle, zebras, and Topi. You might see rhinos, leopards, hippos, and crocodiles too. During migration, over a million wildebeest move through the area.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi
