Highlights of the Ghorepani-Poonhill Trek
Poon Hill Sunrise View: One of the major highlights of this trek is the stunning sunrise view from Poon Hill. You'll have to wake up early to reach the top of Poon Hill before sunrise, but it's worth it. Watching the sunrise over the Himalayas is an unforgettable experience.
Traditional Villages: During this trek, you'll get to experience the local culture and lifestyle of the Gurung and Magar communities. You'll pass through traditional villages like Ghandruk, Tadapani, and Ghorepani, where you can interact with locals and learn about their customs and traditions.
Rhododendron Forests: The trek takes you through lush rhododendron forests, which are especially beautiful during the spring season when the rhododendrons are in full bloom. The vibrant colors of the flowers make for a beautiful backdrop for your trekking experience.
Stunning Views: The trek offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, including peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. The views from Poon Hill and Tadapani are especially stunning and make for great photo opportunities.
Local Cuisine: During the trek, you'll have the opportunity to taste local Nepali cuisine, including dal bhat (lentil soup and rice), momos (dumplings), and chow mein (stir-fried noodles). You'll also have the chance to try local tea and coffee.

Day 1 200 Km drive to Pokhara (Altitude 800m, 2624ft) from Kathmandu, 7-8 Hours
Day 2 Trek to Ulleri (2100m / 6888ft), 5-6 hours walk.
Day 3 Trek to Ghorepani (2850m / 9365ft) 5-6 hours walk.
Day 4 Hike Poon Hill (3210m / 10529ft), trek to Tadapani (2680m / 8790ft), 5-6 hours walk
Day 5 Trek to Ghandruk (1940 meter / 6363ft), drive to Pokhara.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before December 8th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 8th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with AlpWander Adventures Pvt. Ltd.. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and AlpWander Adventures Pvt. Ltd. will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
