Arrival in Casablanca
Your driver picks you up at Casablanca airport and takes you to see Hassan 2 Mosque, which sits right in the city center. After checking out the mosque, head to your hotel to get settled for the night.

Casablanca to Rabat to Chefchaouen
Start the day heading south along the Atlantic coast toward Rabat. You'll visit Oudaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of the former kings, plus pass by the Royal Palace. From there, turn inland through the Rif Mountains and make your way to Chefchaouen. By evening you'll arrive in this blue-washed city and have time to get comfortable at your accommodation.

Chefchaouen
Spend the full day walking around Chefchaouen on your own schedule. Wander through the blue streets, check out the Jewish Mellah, explore the 14th-century Kasbah, and if you're up for it, visit Ras El-maa waterfalls. Later in the evening, head to the small square near the Kasbah where local restaurants are clustered and you can get a feel for how people actually spend their time here.

Chefchaouen to Fes
Leave Chefchaouen in the morning and travel through the Rif Mountains toward the Roman ruins of Volubilis. After that, stop in Moulay Idriss, a whitewashed town perched on a hilltop. Continue on to Meknes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll see Bab Mansour gate and various imperial landmarks. By evening you'll reach Fes.

Fes
Take a guided walking tour through Fes with a local who knows the city well. You'll pass through the Blue Gate (Bab Bou Jloud) and visit Quaraouine Mosque, one of the world's oldest universities, plus the Madrassa Bou Inania. Walk through the Medina Souks and see how leatherworking happens at the famous Tanneries. Return to your riad by evening.

Fes to Merzouga Desert
Depart early heading toward Merzouga Desert. Stop in Ifrane first, sometimes called Switzerland of Morocco because of the cooler climate and pine trees. Visit the cedar forest at Azrou where you can see Barbary apes, then grab lunch in Midelt. Keep going through the Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley, passing through Er-Rachidia and the Ziz Oasis. Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes and take a camel ride out to the desert camp. Spend the evening around a fire with traditional music.

Merzouga Desert
Spend the day exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes and surrounding desert. Stop at a traditional nomad's tent for tea, visit the historic Mfis village with its old coal mines, and head to Khamlia village to hear Gnaoua music. Have lunch at a local Berber restaurant and visit a seasonal lake where desert birds and flamingos sometimes gather. Relax back at your hotel in the evening.

Merzouga to Dades Valley
Start early with a hike up to the highest dune to catch the sunrise, then have breakfast back at the camp. Head to Rissani to walk through its lively markets and souks. Continue to Tinghir and explore the Todgha Gorges, a canyon that drops 300 meters deep. Travel through what locals call the 'land of figs' in the Dades countryside, seeing dramatic landscapes with fig and walnut trees along the way. Settle in for the night in Dades Valley.

Dades Valley to Marrakech
After breakfast, head toward Marrakech through the Imgoun Valley, which is known for rose cultivation and the Skoura Oases. Stop to visit the 17th-century Amridil Kasbahs, then check out Ouarzazate's Touaririrt Kasbah and the UNESCO-protected village of Ait-Benhaddou with its red mud brick buildings. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N'Tichka pass at 2260m elevation and arrive in Marrakech, where you'll stay in the old quarter.
