- Day 1
Hanoi
Your driver meets you when you land in Hanoi and takes you to the hotel. Once you've checked in, the afternoon and evening are yours to do whatever you'd like, whether that's resting up from your flight or getting out to explore the city on your own.

Hanoi
After hotel breakfast, you'll head out at 8:00 am to see Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and Temple of Literature where there's a traditional music performance. Lunch includes authentic Hanoi pho, then you can choose between checking out one of the museums or temples in the area. Later in the afternoon, walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and wander through the Old Quarter before the day wraps up with a Water Puppet Show.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Breakfast at your hotel comes first, then around 9:00 am you'll travel by private van about 3.5 hours to Halong City, driving through countryside with rice paddies. Board your luxury junk and have freshly prepared seafood lunch on deck. From there, you'll visit Amazing Cave and Surprising Cave with Wooden Grottoes, swim in the emerald waters, then settle in for the night in a quiet area. After dinner, try phosphorescent water swimming, relax at the skybar, attempt squid fishing, or head to your cabin.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Wake early to catch the sunrise and fresh ocean air, then join a Tai Chi session on deck before breakfast. The morning takes you through thousands of islands with plenty of photo opportunities, and you'll visit a floating fishing village to learn how the fishermen live and work. Lunch happens while cruising back to Halong City, and then it's a van ride back to Hanoi where you'll check in and stay the night.

Hanoi to Danang to Hoi An
A flight takes you to coastal Danang this morning. Check out the Cham Museum with its sandstone carvings, walk through Cua Dai Beach, and climb Marble Mountain. Then head to Hoi An, which served as Vietnam's major port from the 17th to 19th centuries and shows influences from Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Portuguese traders in its architecture. You'll stay overnight in Hoi An.

Hoi An
Today you're exploring Hoi An, the old port city (once called Faifo) where Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and other merchants traded. You'll see temples with gilded statues, a pagoda built for sailors and fishermen, and a 1700s chapel with both Chinese and Japanese architectural elements. Browse the Sa Huynh Museum near the Japanese Covered Bridge to understand the city's earliest history. In the afternoon, take a boat on Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village on Cam Kim Island and watch traditional wood workers and shipbuilding families, then head back to Cua Dai Beach for a relaxing evening.

Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
You have free time in Hoi An until your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Your driver picks you up at the airport when you arrive, transfers you to your hotel for check-in, and you'll settle in for the night.
- Day 8
Ho Chi Minh City and Cu Chi Tunnels
After hotel breakfast, spend the morning at Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, and Reunification Palace before heading to the War Remnants Museum. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you'll travel about 75 km to Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of over 200 km where fighters lived and fought during the war. Explore at your own pace to see trap doors, living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, and command centers. Try simple wartime food and experience the conditions that sustained people through the 1960s, then return to Saigon.

Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide takes you 75 kilometers southeast at 8:00 am to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province on the Mekong River. You'll visit one or two islands surrounded by orchards and rice fields to see traditional handcraft production, coconut candy makers, and bee farms. A boat trip on the Mekong takes you to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest in the delta, then you'll head back to Ho Chi Minh City for check-in.
