- Day 1
Milan
You'll land at Milan's Malpensa Airport and head to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, a local historian takes you through Milan's center to see the Cathedral, La Scala Opera House, and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Dinner happens at a local restaurant with the other travelers on your tour.

Verona to Trento
The drive takes you to Verona, where you can choose between two walks: one through the grand piazzas past Dante's statue and the Scala family tombs, or a Shakespeare-themed route following Romeo and Juliet's story through the Roman Arena and elegant squares. From there, you'll continue north to Trento, settling into one of Italy's more appealing cities.

Following the Adige River north, you'll enter the Dolomites and arrive in Bolzano where Italian and Austrian cultures blend together. There's time to walk the arcaded streets and squares on your own before heading along the scenic, zig-zagging mountain route to Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy's most exclusive ski resort.

You'll travel down through the Dolomites into the Prosecco wine region, stopping in Conegliano at a local winery to learn how prosecco differs from Champagne and taste their crisp wines. After that, you'll head to Venice and check into your hotel on this unique island city.

- Day 6
Venice
A traditional glassblowing workshop comes first, where artisans show you how they create delicate glass using 15th-century techniques. Then you'll cruise past palazzos and churches to St. Mark's Square, see the gilded basilica and Doge's Palace, cross the Bridge of Sighs, and take a gondola serenade through the canals. The afternoon is free to explore on your own, with the option to return to St. Mark's for cafes and orchestras.

Lake Maggiore
You have the full day to relax at this popular resort on Lake Maggiore. If you want, you can take an optional cruise to the Borromean Islands and visit Isola Bella's charming Palace. The day wraps up with a farm-to-table dinner and Italian wines to celebrate your trip.
