Itinerary
- Day 1Venice to DobbiacoYou'll arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport at 3:45pm where your tour leader meets you by the red-fronted RELAY shop. After the group gathers, you'll travel by coach to Dobbiaco in the Dolomites, which takes about 3 hours. Once you check in at Hotel Tschurtschenthaler, there's a briefing covering what's ahead for the week. Included Activities- Group transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Dobbiaco

- Day 2Ferrara to Lake BraiesTake the public bus to Ferrara, then start a guided walk through fields and forest paths heading to Lake Braies. This 14 kilometre walk (5 hours, 450 metres elevation gain and loss) takes you to an alpine lake surrounded by high cliffs. After lunch and time exploring around the lake, you'll return to Dobbiaco by public bus. - Meals

- Day 3AltpragsA local bus gets you to the spa town of Altprags where you'll climb through flower meadows and forests to Putzalm hut for coffee. From there, continue ascending to Suisridl pass at just over 2,000 metres for a picnic lunch. The 12.5 kilometre walk (6 hours) ends with a descent through forests and cross-country ski areas back to your hotel. - Meals

- Day 4Sesto to Mt ElmoHead by bus to Sesto and take a cable car to the top station around 2,000 metres. From there you'll climb Mt Elmo at 2,434 metres and walk along a ridge that marks the Austria-Italy border, where you can spot WWI bunkers and lookout posts. There's a chance to photograph yourself with one foot in each country. After an 11 kilometre walk (6 hours), you'll descend by a different cable car and return to Dobbiaco. - Meals

- Day 5Rest or Optional ActivitiesThis day offers flexibility so you can either rest and explore the region's cultural attractions or try optional activities. Consider a 50 kilometre cycle ride to Lienz (mostly downhill, 2.5 to 3.5 hours), visiting Reinhold Messner's mountain museum in Brunico, the Iceman museum in Bolzano, or checking out the WWI battlefield at Monte Piana. Shopping in San Candido or Cortina d'Ampezzo is another option, along with additional walks. If you prefer relaxing, the hotel has an indoor pool and spa. - Meals

- Day 6Tre Cime de LavaredoTake the bus to Auronzo hut at 2,320 metres below the UNESCO-listed Tre Cime di Lavaredo. You'll walk via a quieter path to the impressive north faces, passing Langalm hut, then reach Locatelli hut where you'll have a picnic lunch. From there, explore the Austrian WWI defences near Torre di Toblin and complete a loop around the Tre Cime mountains before returning south to Auronzo hut. This 13 kilometre walk (7 hours) ends with a shuttle back to Dobbiaco. - Meals

- Day 7Prato Piazza to StrudelkopfTake the public bus to Prato Piazza at 1,991 metres (about 50 minutes). Walk along a high-level track to Durrenstein hut at 2,040 metres and climb to Strudelkopf summit at 2,307 metres for panoramic views including the Tre Cime in the distance. The 11 kilometre walk (6 hours) has options for your descent: return by bus or continue with an additional 4 kilometre forest and riverside walk to Brukele. - Meals
