Dublin
You'll arrive in Dublin and start getting oriented with a tour past the Georgian Squares and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The cathedral itself dates back to the 1100s, and you'll hear stories about Jonathan Swift and Ireland's religious history. By evening, you'll sit down with your fellow travelers for dinner featuring Irish cuisine.

Dublin to Kilkenny
This morning starts at the Guinness Storehouse where you'll learn about Arthur Guinness and that famous 9,000 year lease. After that, you're heading to medieval Kilkenny to browse the medieval mile with its arts and crafts shops. Then you'll check out Kilkenny Castle, which has been continuously built and rebuilt over 800 years.

Kilkenny to Killarney
You'll head to Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone, a 330 million year old limestone believed to give the gift of eloquence. From there, travel to Killarney, which serves as your gateway to the Ring of Kerry. An orientation tour introduces you to the area, and you'll wrap up the evening with a dine-around celebration of local cuisine.

Ring of Kerry
Killarney offers you a choice: take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride with a local jarvey, or do a gentle lake shore hike past 15th century Ross Castle with a local expert. After you've made your choice, you'll drive the scenic Ring of Kerry coastal route, known for its forty shades of green, with beaches, colorful villages, and Atlantic Ocean views.

You'll take a ferry from Tarbert to Killmer and see the towering Cliffs of Moher up close. From there, you'll drive through the rocky Burren landscape to reach Galway. Your travel director leads an orientation tour showing you the Lynch Memorial, Church of St. Nicholas, Spanish Arch, and Eyre Square before dinner at a local restaurant.

Galway to Westport to Sligo
You'll travel to Westport for a culinary walk led by a local expert, who shares stories about the town's 5,000 year history and heritage sites. You'll learn about Westport House, Rockfleet Castle, and Burrishoole Abbey, all connected to pirate queen Grace O'Malley. Later, you continue to Sligo for an orientation tour of this historic town.
