Itinerary
- Day 1
M'hamid Desert Trek
You'll head out from M'hamid early with camels and their drivers, moving across dry terrain throughout the morning. After a picnic lunch in a shaded spot, the group continues on toward Sidi Naji's Marabout tombstone where you'll settle in for your first night, either under tents or open sky depending on conditions.

Erg of Ez-Zahar
Following breakfast, you'll cross through the Hamada of acacias and eventually reach the Erg of Ez-Zahar with its large wild dunes. The caravan sets up camp at the base of these 'howling dunes,' then you can climb them to see the sunset spread across Morocco's desert landscape.

Erg of Smar
The journey goes from Erg of Ez-Zahar toward Erg of Smar, a former village that sand has gradually covered and surrounded with tamaris trees. You'll make camp in this quiet, remote spot for the night.

Erg of Ait Ounir
Moving from Erg of Smar toward Erg of Ait Ounir, you'll pass through smaller dunes and sandy areas during the morning and early afternoon. There's a break for lunch and rest in a shaded location, after which the group presses on to Erg of Ait Ounir to camp for the evening.
