Itinerary
- Day 1
Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort
Your pickup happens at 7am from Crowne Plaza Lasseters Hotel, then you'll head out through the rugged desert toward Ayers Rock Resort. Along the drive, your guide walks you through the landscape, wildlife, and geological features. After stopping at a roadhouse to stretch your legs, you'll check out the Cultural Centre to see Aboriginal art and learn the stories behind it. From there, a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole lets you get up close with sacred sites. The day wraps up at Uluru Sunset Viewing Area where sparkling wine and views come together as the light changes.

- Day 2
Kata Tjuta and Ayers Rock Resort
This morning takes you to Kata Tjuta, where you'll get panoramic views from a dune viewing platform. Then comes the walk through Walpa Gorge on a 1.3km trail that winds between two of the tallest domes through unusual conglomerate rock formations. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to do as you please, whether that's hanging around the resort or booking something optional like a helicopter flight or the Sounds of Silence Dinner if it appeals to you.

Kata Tjuta to Kings Canyon Resort
You have the option to do an early sunrise tour on your own dime, or you can take it easy in the morning instead. Later you'll travel through desert scenery, passing Curtin Springs Station and Atila while your guide talks about cattle station history and what life's like out here. Keep an eye out for wild horses and camels roaming the area. By afternoon you reach Kings Canyon Resort to relax before dinner. After you eat, head out to experience the Light Towers, a Bruce Munro art installation that really transforms the landscape at night.

- Day 4
Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Get up early because there's a rocky climb ahead to the canyon rim, where sunrise views of Watarrka National Park are waiting. Then you follow the rim past several lookout points, or if you'd prefer, drop down into the 'Garden of Eden' oasis for the full roughly 3-hour circuit walk. There's also an easier option if you want to walk the canyon floor instead. After that, you'll head back to Alice Springs via Erldunda, a classic roadhouse that sits right at the junction of two highways.
