- XXin· February 27th, 2025Although it might be a crazy decision to go to the desert in summer (Feb is tooooo hot), I still think overall the tour was great - beautiful scenery, captivating aboriginal culture, knowledgeable guide (thanks Michy, he did driving, cooking, leading the hikings, and looking after everyone). As a Chinese, the food was not that tasty to me but ok enough. The hikings were a bit challenging but my daughter said she enjoyed them. The only thing I disliked was having to get up at 4:00am in the morning, but understood that's to see sunrise and do the hiking as early as possibly.Show moreAutopia Tours commented on this reviewG'day Xin! Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We're glad to hear that, despite the summer heat, you had a great experience exploring Red Centre. - HAHelena· January 3rd, 2025Good trip with knowledgeable guide. Felt a bit rushed sometimes, and would have been nice for daily itinerary to be clearer in advance. Also would have appreciated some interaction with the local people, perhaps at the cultural centre, to better understand some of the Aboriginal culture.Show moreTrip date: December 2024
- Amy· October 26th, 2024Ben was THE Most incredibly gracious, kind, and friendly host. He ensured that we all felt safe and he truly cultivated an amazingly memorable experience that helped the group, as a whole, bond and connect. Our dinners were lovely, and that bonfire in Kings Creek was the best night! I feel as though I walked away with many new friends! I highly recommend this tour and Ben!!!!!Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- Kathryn· August 17th, 2024Sanne was an excellent tour guide, our trip was quite challenging in lots of ways and she coped with everything efficiently and cheerfully. She was very knowledgeable about local culture, plants and animals and that definitely enhanced the experience. It felt like we got the most out of our time starting early worked really well and we saw Uluru at sunset and Kings Canyon and Kata Tjuṯa at sunrise. The only down side was that I should have booked directly with Autopia. Tour radar added a layer of confusion to the booking process which was quite stressful. Once we got on the bus we were very happy with the tour. It was a great experience and we would definitely not have got the same if we had hired a car and done it by ourselves.Show moreTrip date: August 2024

- SVSamantha· April 28th, 2024This tour was definitely a highlight of my time in Australia! I had Donk and Sue as my guides, both who were phenomenal. Sue made the tour for me, providing endless facts on the geological history of the places we visited, outback fauna and flora, as well as the Aboriginal significance of sacred sights. We had a small group of just 10 people, which I really enjoyed—everyone was enthusiastic and willing to help out with preparing meals. We did a lot in just three days, although there was a lot more driving than I expected. But Donk did stop at some view points and when we saw animals in the bus to break it up.Show moreTrip date: April 2024

Asked on December 13th, 2024I would be 73 at time of trip in March. I am active so not worried about doing everything on the trip but want to make sure my age is not an issue.
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
The ages we have listed does not limit you at all! Prior to travel guests will be asked to sign a waiver confirming they are fit to participate in the tour itinerary, given the long walks of at least 6 km and extreme temperatures. You would most likely be required to provide a medical certificate to state that you have any pre-existing conditions and if you are fit/able to do the activities throughout the tour!

Traveler•Written December 2024What are the temps during that time if we take this tour?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
March is still our summer season and can be quite warm, daytime temperature is around +32 and nighttime temperature around +17.

Traveler•Written December 2024We are traveling light with just a carry on suitcase and small backpack for each of us. Is that going to be an issue to take along on the trip?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
You can bring a 15kg per person suitcase that will get stored in our trailer during the day and then a carry on bag that will stay with you on the bus.

Asked on December 4th, 2024I'm researching Outback tours for some clients. What I've seen of some available tours, like this one, seem as if it might satisfy their requests. Yesterday, he asked me to find out about Aboriginal unrest he's heard of lately. Can you give any information about that and if it effects any tours?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
All tours at the moment are operating as scheduled and are not expected to be impacted at this time. Should anything change we would get in touch with all passengers regarding options for their tours.

Asked on December 3rd, 2024We would very much like to go on a 3 day tour to see Uluru, Kings Canyon, see the sunset and go on a camping tour. Would that be possible?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
We have 2 more seats available for our 3 Day Red Centre Tour departing on Saturday the 21st of December. This tour would come back to Alice Springs on Monday the 23rd of December at approximately 6pm.

Traveler•Written December 2024We have a flight out of Alice Springs 23. Dec. 11.40 AM so we are not able to go on that trip. Would there be any other possibilities? Are there any tours leaving 20. Dec.?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written December 2024
Unfortunately, the only tour operating around that time is on the 21st. We apologise for any inconvience. It may be possible to join us for the 2 day tour if you can find a shuttle back to Alice Springs on the 22nd. You can check with Emu Run and AAT Kings as they both offer these types of shuttle services.

Asked on October 21st, 2024Where and at what time the tour picks up and ends the tour in Yulara. This is important to plan air flights. I did not see in the description, a walk around the base of Uluru. Which day is this included if it is?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written October 2024
We have a walk at Uluru on day 1 of our tour before our sunset viewing. Our Airport pickups range from 1:20 to 1:50. Once we have got everyone from the Airport we pick up from our resort pickup locations. Normally we get them around 1:30pm at the resorts but that can get delayed should we have a 1:50pm flight arrival. For our 3 day tour dropoffs back at Yulara are subject to availability. Our tour naturally finishes in Alice springs but we can book a complimentary shuttle back to Yulara. There is currently space available on the shuttle back to Yulara but we can't secure your seat until we receive your booking. Normally the drop off back at Yulara is around 4 to 5pm depending on traffic and weather.

Asked on October 17th, 2024I'm very interested in this 3 days tour. My plan is to bring my family (my wife, daughter, and myself) to Australia in Feb, 2025. So a couple of questions: 1: I plan to fly from Cairns to Uluru to attend the tour, without booking accormmodation in Uluru. Most likely we'll carry a 28 inch suitcase and a 24 inch suitcase. Is it OK to keep the suitcases on the bus? If not, is the Uluru airport or somewhere else ok to store our baggage? At the end of the tour, before going to Alice Spring, will the bus stop for us to retrieve our baggage? 2: In that season, do I still need a sleeping bag if choosing the bush swag?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written October 2024
Each passenger can bring 1 larger suitcase to store in the trailer on the back of the bus and 1 smaller bag to bring on the bus with them. So haveing 2 sutcases between the 3 of you will be no problem at all. We do reccomend sleeping bags all year long for the bush swags as there is no blanket inside. So this is more for your own comfort and less for warmth as the overnight temperature at that time of the year is uaully warm.

Traveler•Written October 2024Forgot to ask. If need, may I hire sleeping bags during the tour? or need to book in advance?
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written October 2024
We can book you in for a sleeping bag so we have one available for you and then you can decide while on tour if you would like to use it :)

Traveler•Written January 2025Hello, I'll wait for pick up at Ayers Rock airport. Is there a detail location for pickup and what is the pick up time? Will someone call me, or if not how to contact the bus driver? thanks
- Autopia ToursOperator•Written January 2025
Unfortunately you cannot contact the bus driver if you have any other questions you can call us on 03 3939 1333. You will be picked up from Ayers Rock Airport AYQ - Coote Rd Yulara NT @ 13:00pm on Wednesday 05/02/2025. When you walk outside of the Airport the bus should be right outside waiting you for, it'll be the first thing you see as the airprot is very very small.
