- Day 1
Basel
You'll get picked up on arrival and taken directly to your river ship. Once you're settled in your cabin, there's a Welcome Reception on board where you can meet other guests and the crew. If your flight gets in early, you have time to head into Basel and walk through the Christmas Market before returning to the ship.

Breisach to Triberg
After disembarking in Breisach, a coach takes you through the Black Forest with its dense pine and birch forests covering mountainous terrain. You'll stop in Triberg, a small village known for its waterfalls and holiday decorations. Later you're back on the ship for the Welcome Dinner.

Strasbourg
The ship docks in Strasbourg and a guided tour shows you this city that sits between France and Germany. You'll see half-timbered houses, narrow cobblestone streets, canals running through town, and the cathedral. Then there's free time to wander through the Christkindslesmarkt, France's oldest Christmas market with over 300 stalls selling local food and decorations.

Rhine Gorge to Rüdesheim
Sailing through the Rhine Gorge, you'll see steep vineyards and castles perched on the hillsides. In Rüdesheim, you'll ride the Winzerexpress mini-train up to Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. From there, check out the Christmas market in the Old Town and the famous Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas store if you want to pick up some holiday items.

The ship cruises along the Moselle River through some of Europe's most picturesque sections with vineyards and small villages along the banks. You'll disembark in Cochem, a charming town in the Moselle Valley surrounded by wine country.

Cologne
You arrive in Cologne where the Cathedral dominates the skyline along the Rhine. A guided tour walks you through its history, including how the twin spires took over 600 years to build. After exploring on your own, there's the Captain's Farewell Dinner on board that evening.

Then you can explore the Ice Village Christmas market at your own pace, trying traditional Dutch holiday foods and seeing the lights reflecting off the canal water.
