- Lyn· September 28th, 2025Everything about the group experience was fantastic. Small group of 14 made up of 13 English and 3 Australians plus Rob, our guide. He is engaging and knowledgeable on all aspects of nature, history, local culture and extremely competent in mountain guiding. We were accommodated, organised and entertained by Rob each day on tour. The hotel Adler in Villabassa was comfortable and quiet in a small village atmosphere but had exceptional food. Each dinner was fabulous and food varied to showcase the more Austrian location. We found this a great variation on the cuisine we had been enjoying in other Italian regions prior to our hiking week. The staff there were very friendly and engaging at all times. We made use of all Ammenities including the indoor pool and gym after hiking and on the rest day. The highlight of the hotel experience was the traditional meal in the wine cellar. Fabulous ambience, food and wine. Our family cannot recommend this highly enough. We have just completed the week, starting near the end of September. Asked on May 28th, 2025Would you please provide the daily walking distances and elevation? This sounds more like a "hiking" holiday then a "sightseeing" holiday, although some sites are included. Any more information in that regard? How to much allocate for any optional activities offered?
Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written May 2025This tour is part of our Walking and Trekking collection and is classified as Activity Level 1: Easy, which is ideal for those who are new to walking trips. This is a relatively busy itinerary with plenty of sightseeing. There is a fair amount of walking around towns, cities and parks, but all on good paths, mainly wooden and sometimes cobbled streets in the old towns. We also walk on footpaths and rocky terrain, which can be loose in places with some slopes. The walks require an average level of fitness and all are optional. To visit all the highlights of the four countries, there are some long bus journeys. Below, you will find the approximate walking distances covered each day: Day 2 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 3 – 8 km / 5 miles Day 4 – 4 km / 2.5 miles Day 5 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 6 – 7 km / 4.3 miles Day 7 – 4 km / 2.5 miles Day 9 – 6 km / 3.7 miles Day 10 – 5 km / 3.1 miles Entrance fees to sites will be between €6 and €17.

Asked on May 9th, 2024Is the quote of $3000 for a single room? Also, does the tour pay for all meals? I see we get a buffet breakfast, but are lunches and dinners also included in the price of $3000 for the 12 day tour from Vilnius to Helsinki?

The $3000 USD is the per person cost for the 18 September departure currently (subject to change). If you would like a single supplement (own room) then that would currently be an additional $555USD (subject to change/availability). We don't include every meal so you have a chance to explore local restaurants! Many times on this tour lunches will be picnics bought from local shops and cafe stops with the group. Dinners will be taken in the hotel restaurants or in local restaurants and will be hearty meals.
