We suggest you pack light for the hike and bring only the essentials. With excess luggage, we can either point you in the direction of luggage storage facilities in Tirana or the below option is available: A mule or horse caravan to carry heavy luggage is available on request with an extra charge of 100 Euros per horse/mule. A horse can carry between 30 – 35 kg and will take a seperate route to your next guesthouse.

The itinerary is perfect to cover the areas other tour companies don’t cover. The are also very flexible with it too. The highlights of different countries gave a great overview of the areas other and we have learned a lot. The company’s customer service is fantastic. They provide all the detailed information about the tour, how to meet the guide… and they followed up twice during the 14 days tour to make sure everything is ok. Our tour guide Eraldo is just amazing. He is very knowledgeable and he is a fantastic driver. On top of it, he is very caring and detailed. Every time we stood up, he would make sure we did not leave anything behind ; he made sure sure to show us how to get back to hotel when we insisted on going around by ourselves …and he speaks perfect English and very well read. It is enjoyable talking to him about anything. A big thank you!

Our tour guide, Julian, was the highlight of our tour. He looked after us so well, drive so safely, and was so calm in the face of any challenge. The itinerary itself could be streamlined, as we had to repeat several parts of the trip. Better planning would prevent this. Some of the hotels were not great - hard beds, small rooms, tiny showers - but they were generally well located for walking around. We couldn't understand why our guide often had to stay far away from us in substandard accommodation.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 25th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 25th, 2025, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Choose Balkans. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 67 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Choose Balkans will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
