The highlights of different countries gave a great overview of the areas other and we have learned a lot. The company’s customer service is fantastic. They provide all the detailed information about the tour, how to meet the guide… and they followed up twice during the 14 days tour to make sure everything is ok. Our tour guide Eraldo is just amazing. He is very knowledgeable and he is a fantastic driver. On top of it, he is very caring and detailed. Every time we stood up, he would make sure we did not leave anything behind ; he made sure sure to show us how to get back to hotel when we insisted on going around by ourselves …and he speaks perfect English and very well read. - Sally· August 16th, 2025Our tour guide, Julian, was the highlight of our tour. He looked after us so well, drive so safely, and was so calm in the face of any challenge. The itinerary itself could be streamlined, as we had to repeat several parts of the trip. Better planning would prevent this. Some of the hotels were not great - hard beds, small rooms, tiny showers - but they were generally well located for walking around. We couldn't understand why our guide often had to stay far away from us in substandard accommodation.Show more

Asked on September 1st, 2024I plan to do the "Peaks of the Balkans Trail" route solo. Citizens of my country do not need visas, but I know that it is necessary to issue permits for crossing borders when hiking. However, I have come across information that permits are issued only for groups and not for individual travelers. Is it really true?
