Itinerary
- Day 1
Yellowknife
You'll arrive in Yellowknife and check into your hotel in the city centre. The rest of the day is yours to wander around downtown at whatever pace works for you. Browse through the local boutiques, check out different restaurants, or just get a feel for the area on foot. If walking isn't your preference, taxis are easy to find around the city.

- Day 2
Yellowknife
A local guide takes you on a tour of the city, hitting the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly, the Yellowknife Historical Museum, and some of the town's notable spots. If you're visiting between January and March, there's a chance to drive on the ice roads and see an ice castle, though that depends on weather conditions holding up. Later in the evening, you'll head out to a cabin in the backcountry for guided aurora viewing. Expect bannock and fish chowder around midnight to keep you warm while you watch the sky.

Yellowknife
This day is unscheduled, so you have flexibility to explore Yellowknife on your own terms. The Woodyard Brewhouse is worth a visit if you want local beer, or you could try arctic char sashimi for something different. Bullocks Bistro is another option for dinner if you're looking for solid food. That evening, you'll head back to the cabin for another night of guided aurora viewing with hot drinks and snacks to keep you going through the late hours.
