Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara
Start early from Arusha and head to Lake Manyara Park for the day's game viewing and photography work. The lake draws huge numbers of flamingos, pelicans, and storks, along with other bird species you'll want to capture. During your boat ride, you'll get close looks at hippos in the water, and there's a good chance to see giraffe, gazelle, and warthog along the shoreline. If luck's on your side, you might spot the rare tree-climbing lions this park is known for.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti
Grab early breakfast, then drive to the Great Serengeti and arrive in time for lunch. The afternoon brings game viewing across the park where you can look for Africa's big five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo) plus the countless other animals like browsers, predators, reptiles, and birds. During June, the annual wildebeest migration happens here with over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle moving toward the Masai Mara, followed by lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures hunting behind them. By evening you'll head back to camp for rest and dinner.

- Day 3
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After early breakfast, spend the morning doing game drives in the Serengeti for your final looks at the park before leaving. Return to camp for a hot lunch, then check out and get driven to Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in the evening to check in and have dinner at the camp. The area around Ngorongoro is rich and fertile with great views overlooking the crater and its lakes below.

Ngorongoro Crater
Have breakfast and check out of camp with a packed picnic lunch for 6 hours of game viewing on the crater floor. You'll descend down to see the massive caldera, which holds Tanzania's only remaining black rhino population. Other animals you'll spot easily include hippo, elephant, gazelle antelope, flamingo, and water birds throughout the day. By afternoon you'll head back up to the crater rim, then get driven to Arusha to connect with your onward flight.
