Itinerary
- Day 1
Bogotá
You'll start your day on a bike, riding through Bogotá's network of cycle paths designed specifically for cyclists. The route takes you into La Candelaria, the old town section, where you'll stop at the Gold Museum to see the collection. From there, keep pedaling toward Parque Nacional and then head into Usaquén. The whole 25km ride stays mostly on flat asphalt, so it's pretty manageable even if you're not an experienced cyclist. The terrain runs through the city, so you'll get a real sense of how Bogotá feels from ground level.

Then you'll switch to bikes for roughly 14km of hillier riding that takes you to Guatavita Lagoon, known for its connection to the El Dorado legend. A 40-minute walk around the lagoon lets you learn about the Chibcha Indian ceremonies and Spanish colonial history.
