The drive takes you along the coastal highway to Parnu, Estonia, where you'll have a short tour of this resort town. Then you'll head through North Estonian forests, arriving in Tallinn by early afternoon. Check in happens at Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia or similar.

Tallinn

Tallinn to Helsinki
You can start with an optional 6-hour trip to Lahemaa National Park if you're interested, which includes stops at Palmse Manor, Sagadi Manor, and the 16th-century Vihula Manor where there's a Vodka Museum to check out. After grabbing lunch, you'll head back to Tallinn and catch a ferry across to Helsinki, so you'll get some nice views of the Finnish archipelago during the crossing. Once you arrive in Helsinki, a transfer takes you to your hotel for check-in.

You'll take a train to Lappeenranta, arriving around midday. After checking in at Hotel Scandic Patria or similar, an afternoon walking tour takes you through the historic Old Town and fortress area. Then comes an evening cruise on Lake Saimaa and the Saimaa Canal, which is really the highlight of this day.

Lappeenranta to Helsinki
Lappeenranta is yours to explore at your own pace today. Your hotel sits between the Old Town and the port area, and both are easy to walk to from there. You can browse the local boutiques around town, try some traditional Karelian food, or just sit by the port and take in the scenery. Later in the afternoon, head to the train station and catch your train back to Helsinki, arriving early in the evening, then transfer to your hotel for check-in.
