- Day 1
Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and head to your centrally-located hotel in this vibrant coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean. This evening, meet your tour director and fellow travelers at a welcome reception.
- Day 2
Halifax to Port aux Basques
Travel via Truro and Antigonish, then cross the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island. At North Sydney, board the Marine Atlantic ferry for a relaxing overnight crossing to Port aux Basques on Newfoundland.

Port aux Basques to Port au Choix
Drive through the Codroy Valley and Gros Morne National Park to the fishing community of Port au Choix. Learn about the ancient cultures of the Port au Choix Peninsula, where people have lived for 5,500 years on Newfoundland's northwest coast.

- Day 4
Port au Choix to L'Anse au Clair
Board the ferry from St. Barbe to cross the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador. Continue to Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Basques operated a whaling station in the 16th century.

L'Anse au Clair to St. Anthony
Return to Newfoundland and travel to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, the first cultural discovery in the world recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the Vikings who walked here over a thousand years ago before heading to St. Anthony.

St. Anthony to Cow Head
Start your morning with a whale-watching boat tour in St. Anthony, then travel to Cow Head in Gros Morne National Park for a two-night stay. June and early July offer the best time to see Titanic-size icebergs in the area.

Cow Head
See why Gros Morne National Park ranks as one of Eastern Canada's highlights with a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay, where you can look for bald eagles in the deep fjord waters. Also visit the Tablelands, a flat-topped rock mountain.

Cow Head to Deer Lake
The tour concludes this afternoon. Head back to Deer Lake Regional Airport around 11:30 AM. It's advisable not to schedule a flight departing any earlier than 12:30 PM.
