Your trip begins when you arrive in Vancouver and check into the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. This castle-like hotel sits right in the heart of the city, putting you close to all the main attractions. Vancouver
Today you explore Vancouver on your own schedule. Head to Robson Street if shopping appeals to you, or wander through historic Gastown with its cobblestone streets. Kitsilano offers a trendy vibe if that's more your speed. Nature lovers can walk Stanley Park, cycle along the scenic seawall, or just take in the mild weather. Since Vancouver has a strong food scene, try one of the many restaurants, breweries, or cafes scattered throughout the city.

Vancouver to Jasper
Spend your morning checking out more of Vancouver or relaxing at the hotel before heading to the train station in the afternoon. You'll board the VIA Rail Canadian train bound for Jasper, and your cozy cabin has expansive windows for viewing the scenery. In the dining car, a chef prepares dinner while you travel overnight through British Columbia's interior toward the Canadian Rockies.

Jasper
You wake up on the train surrounded by the Canadian Rockies. The route passes Mt. Robson, which at nearly 13,000 feet is the highest peak in the range, before you arrive in Jasper National Park. Check in at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, a 700-acre resort with log cabins connected by pathways on the shores of Lac Beauvert. Spend your evening exploring the lodge's amenities and enjoying the mountain setting.

Jasper to Lake Louise
You'll drive the Columbia Icefields Parkway, a 232 km route considered one of the top drives in the world. This road runs along the Continental Divide and shows off towering mountains, frozen waterfalls, and snow-covered valleys. By afternoon you reach Lake Louise in Banff National Park and check into the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This castle-like hotel sits on the lake's shores with views of mountain peaks and Victoria Glacier.
