  For the most part every thing went okay, The guide we had at the Coliseum was excellent, she shared the information in a very engaging fashion and her english was great. The guide we had at the Vatican was very hard to understand, she spoke very fast and had a very strong accent. we had an older couple who were struggling to keep up/ stairs were a problem and she never offered them the use of the elevators that were being used by other tour guides for there tour members that needed them. The pick up and drop off at the airport went very well. The Hotel Napoleon Hotel Roma was good, front Desk people were great. But when we checked in we were not set up for Breakfast yet it was suppose to be included. I showed them my reservation note from TR and they said they would contact Tour Radar and said it was not the first time that they did this. It all worked out.

  Where to start... I booked 2mths ago paid in full $1003.43 (Aud) for 4 nights in Rome at a 4 star hotel including airport transfers to and from and a Vatican tour, St Peter’s and Sistine chapel as well as a tour of Colosseum, Roman forum and Palestine Hill. I had also booked an extra night. 4 days prior to leaving I was told about a single room charge (375 Euros) which I had not been quoted or told about in the 2 mths leading up to the tour. I had little alternative as flights had been booked and I had already had 2 of my tours cancelled (Tao Tours) within 3 weeks of flying out of Australia. So I had to rearrange plans and cancel flights at my own expense. I arrived in Rome and hotel room was small, dirty and toilet leaked and fridge did not work. No kettle so unable to make tea and coffee at your own convenience. Plastic cups - and I know this will sound petty but all 3 had splits in them so leaked. Granted I was upgraded to a better room the following day. Breakfast provided and this was good. I caught a taxi to Vatican on the day of tour as you had to make your own way there and it was raining. I went to the meeting place and waited until after given time, I then went inside to try and find someone who could help me. Staff member at help desk was lovely and eventually we found out that the tour had been cancelled. Apparently they did have my details which I find hard to understand as I was communicating with them via my email and on my mobile??? As a first time traveller I have been very disillusioned and disappointed. I have been told I will be refunded money for the missed tour and to cover taxi fare. Does not make up for missing out on tour and ending up being out of pocket. I would like to know just what we are paying for??? Seems very expensive for very little in my opinion. So ask me if I would recommend Remaz tours ... NO Would I recommend Anglo Americano hotel Roma ... NO As a first time traveller I would recommend a good travel agent with guarantees.
