The route takes you south along the coast into the desert and across the Kuiseb River Delta. For the last 8 km, you'll drive on a narrow beach strip squeezed between massive dunes and the ocean (this section closes at high tide, so timing matters). You'll explore the lagoon, walk the shore, and climb the dunes for views. On the way back, you'll experience dune roller coasting over some of Namibia's tallest dunes. Back in Swakopmund by afternoon with the rest of your day free. Your guide picks you up tomorrow at 11:00. Dinner is on your own.

This afternoon you'll cross two major mountain passes: the Kuiseb Pass with its steep drop into a canyon, then the Gaub River canyon.
