- Zachary· April 30th, 2025Clarification on item 2.No music played entire trip, driver was in separate cabin so did not hear most requests. No music requested by passengers was played however, driver and cook played their own music and spoke in native language to each other loudly in front cabin which I found rather rude. There were 5 passengers most of who would have preferred to listen to music. [Chameleon Safaris Namibia replied: Please kindly be advised that on the pre-departure information provided for, it is stated that we will not play music during the safari as it is difficult to select/choose a genre that can accommodate everyone in a vehicle.]Show moreTrip date: November 2022
- TVTessa· June 15th, 2023I loved it! Namibia is a beautiful country and it was such a great experience to see it with this tour. The places where we stayed were lovely and the people were very nice. The only maybe advice I can give is to have a better communication between company and tour guide. I and another girl had dietary requirements and he was not aware on the first day. Because of this, he had to go get a different lunch than he had prepared already. I also expected the company to communicate with the tour guide that I had a flight on the last day, since they asked me that. He was also not aware of this. I thought he would know, so this made it a little stressful on the last night to arrange this.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThank you, Tessa, for your positive review of our safari experience. - MMManickam· May 26th, 2023Overall this tour was really awesome. Our super knowledgeable guide Stafano gave us an unforgettable Safari experience . Wish this tour could be few extras days covering few more places like Sandwich harbor and the seal colony in the skeleton coast. This was really an express tour. Nonetheless our family enjoyed the overall experience. All praise for Chameleon Safari being professional.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThank you for the awesome review! - Francine· March 18th, 2020The 7 Namibian Days Highlight with Chameleon Tour was excellent, The tour guide/driver/cook was excellent and the accommodations were beyond my expectations. We sadly did not see a lot of animals in Etosha Park, but the few we did were amazing. The distances between place was a lot (a bit much) and a bit more physical activity would have been great (to offset the sitting in the bus). Staying more than one night in an area would also be good. All in all, a great country with lots of diversity in it's landscapes and it's people, loved it.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThanks for your review Francine and we are so glad that you made it to Namibia and home prior to our lockdown. - HPHoward· March 5th, 2020Great way of seeing the country and meeting some of its people. Last day we were expecting lunch either at a cafe or on the go but apart from an apple cake that was it until we returned to the guesthouse mid afternoon.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThanks for the feedback Howard and glad that you enjoyed your experience with us. Lunch on the final day of the tour is not included as we have found that after a cooked breakfast and some apple pie most people don't eat anything en-route to Windhoek.... - Virginia· May 12th, 2019Fantastic would definitely recommend this tour. Accommodation in Windhoek - bah- more like backpackers. Used it for convenience sake to depart from and return to. However regretted not booking my last night at Heja Lodge which looked fantastic. I was picking up my Nomad tour from there early in the morning and regretted staying in Windhoek at Chameloen Guest House the last night. Room dark, very basic.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThanks for the feedback Virginia. We have recently upgraded our 7 Day Namibian Highlights bookings to the luxury rooms at Chameleon Backpackers to make the first night a little more comfy.Trip date: April 2018
- FSFreddi· April 9th, 2019Tour was everything we wanted/expected and more. Very well organized, the guide was amazing in his knowledge, ability to spot animals, and an excellent cook! Our fellow travelers were interesting people. The accommodations exceeded what we expected, and have changed from tent camps described in the brochure to more established rooms with excellent facilities. The Chameleon staff are very accessible and were incredibly helpful when we needed to make an adjustment due to departure flight cancellation. We suggest advising future travelers that Air Namibia is prone to cancel flights, so if possible book with other airlines Only negative was the conflicting information about the start of the tour and first day. We booked a 7-day tour, but it was really a 6-day tour with a first day that could have/should have been presented as an optional add-on.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThanks Freddi for taking the time to give your feedback. Yes, this 7 day tour is a more comprehensive package designed to offer even greater value for money than our 6 Day Dunes & Wildlife Safari. Thanks for joining us in Namibia.Trip date: April 2019
- BPBarrie· April 4th, 2019An excellent trip. Covered a huge distance, going to Atosha in the north, & then Namib Desert in the south. Our group really jelled, even when 2 left, & were replaced by 2 other travellers. The guides complemented each other. We were lucky to see a good selection of animals in Atosha, including lions, rhinos, a cheetah, & a leopard. The illuminated waterhole at Halali was truly amazing.Show moreChameleon Safaris Namibia commented on this reviewThanks for the feedback Barrie and for sharing your photos and we are so glad you enjoyed your trip with us.Trip date: March 2019
- Chris· March 7th, 2019Both our guides, Thanashe and Gideon were fantastisch they explained everything and were very helpful. The meals they pepared were very .tastful. Both had humour. They used their skills to show us game we wouldn’t have seen otherwiseShow moreTrip date: February 2019

Asked on August 29th, 2024I am looking to book the 7 Day Namibian Highlights accommodated safari on either the 9th of 11th Sept and was wondering how much extra the single person supplement would be so I can have my own rooms and not have to share? Also the brochure says 'Learn about the life and ancient skills of the San people' but I was not clear does this involve meeting any communities or more talks about their culture/history I couldn't work it out from reading the rest of the brochure.
- Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperator•Written August 2024
The single supplement is paid directly and will cost N$4,500. We no longer offer the Sun Skills Tour, as they have moved to more remote areas due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This activity has been replaced by the "Discover the Routes of N/a'an ku sê" tour.

Asked on July 31st, 2024how much are Game drives in Etosha?
- Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperator•Written August 2024
There is no specific price for individual components. We sell our tours as a complete package, including everything listed in the itinerary. Once you pay, your meals, accommodation, and specified activities are all included as per the itinerary. Therefore, we don't sell just Etosha; we sell the entire program as it is.

Asked on May 23rd, 2024Is there a guide with us at all times? Also, I see it's a maximum of 10 people...what kind of vehicle is used for moving from 1 area to the next... Also can any of your tours be made into private tours
- Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperator•Written May 2024
We run scheduled group tours, and each tour is assigned one guide. The maximum group size is 10, but if overbooked, it will be 12 at most. This is an overland truck with a pop-up roof. Yes, we can arrange a private tour, but this will mean the price will increase and is subject to the availability of a vehicle, guide, and accommodation. All we require is the route/places you wish to see and the exact dates you wish to travel.

Traveler•Written May 2024Could you tell me the difference between the 7 Day Namibian Highlight Safari and the 7 Day Taste Of Namibia Accommodated Safari?
- Chameleon Safaris NamibiaOperator•Written May 2024
The difference lies in the first night accommodation. With the Taste of Namibia tour, you have the opportunity to spend the first night at a 5-star hotel. However, with the Namibian Highlights tour, you'll stay at a backpacker-style accommodation for the first night.
