- Day 1
Tokyo
When you land at Tokyo airport, a transfer will take you straight to your hotel. Once you've settled in, you'll have time to rest and get ready for the days ahead.

Tokyo
After breakfast, you'll board a coach for a full Tokyo city tour. You'll see Meiji Jingu Shrine and the Imperial Palace, walk through Harajuku and Akihabara, stop in Asakusa for traditional matcha tea and a Japanese pub lunch, check out views from Tokyo Sky Tree, and end the day with a Tokyo Bay cruise.

Following breakfast at your hotel, you'll join a small sushi-making class with local instructors (groups stay under 8 people). You'll learn to make Nigiri, Inari, and Sushi Rolls, then create your own pieces to take with you.

Tokyo
This day is completely yours. Explore Tokyo however you'd like and see what interests you most about the city.
- Day 5
Tokyo to Takayama
After breakfast, you'll head to the train station and board a train to Takayama (you'll transfer at Odawara and Nagoya). Once in Takayama, you'll check into your hotel and start exploring the historic old town with its traditional wooden houses and mountain surroundings.

Shirakawa-go
Your guide will meet you at Takayama Station to explore the historic Takayama Jinya from the Edo period. You'll have time in the charming Sanmachi district and visit the Miyagawa Morning Market. Later, you'll head to Shirakawa-go to see the traditional gassho-zukuri houses, walk through the streets and rice paddies, and have free time for lunch before returning to Takayama.

Takayama to Kyoto
After breakfast, you'll head to the train station and board a train to Kyoto (transferring at Nagoya). You'll check into your Kyoto hotel and prepare to explore the city's temples, tea houses, and gardens.

Kyoto
You'll start an 8 am full-day tour by air-conditioned coach visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Sanju-san-gen-do Temple, the Sagano Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama, Tenryuji Temple, Kinkaku-ji, and the thousands of torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Lunch (Japanese buffet with Arashiyama views) is included, and guides will provide commentary in multiple languages before returning to Kyoto Station.

- Day 9
Nara
You'll join a full-day excursion starting with Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto, then tour Kyoto's Imperial Palace. After lunch, you'll travel south to Nara to see Todai-ji with its large Buddha statue, visit Kasuga Shrine with its lanterns, and finish at Nara's Deer Park where you can interact with the freely roaming deer.

Kyoto to Osaka
After breakfast, you'll take the train to Osaka and settle into your hotel. Then you'll join a guided food tour of the Shinsekai district with two local guides. You'll try takoyaki and oden at a stall, move to an Izakaya for kitsune udon and yakitori, visit traditional shops for nikudofu and gyoza, and end with tonpeiyaki and karaage. Around 13 dishes total throughout the tour.
