Itinerary
- Day 1
Entebbe
You'll arrive at Entebbe Airport where your guide meets you for the drive to The Boma. Depending on your flight time, there's a chance to take an optional tour around Entebbe itself, which has some historic buildings and nice views out over Lake Victoria. The town's one of Uganda's older settlements, so it gives you a sense of local history right away.

Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
The drive heads inland through countryside with green hills everywhere. First stop is Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you'll walk with a guide to see Uganda's remaining rhinos, then grab lunch there. After that, you continue on to Murchison Falls National Park and take a short walk right at the top where the Nile pushes through a narrow 7-meter gap. You'll stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge right on the River Nile inside the park.

- Day 3
Murchison Falls National Park
Start early with a game drive in the park, which is Uganda's largest. You're looking for elephants, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, leopards, and around 76 other mammal species in total. After lunch, take a boat upstream on the Victoria Nile where hippos and crocodiles hang around, plus tons of bird species. The boat ride finishes near the base of the falls.

Kibale Forest
The drive south to Fort Portal takes about 5 hours through countryside with tea plantations visible along the way. You'll stop for lunch in Fort Portal town, and there's an option to visit Amabeere Caves with waterfalls and rock formations. From there, head to Turaco Treetops Lodge, which sits near Kibale Forest National Park.

- Day 5
Kibale Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, head into Kibale Forest with experienced guides to track chimpanzees. The tracking usually takes around 3 hours, then you get an hour to photograph and watch them. Lunch follows, and later you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through a crater region with Ruwenzori Mountain views. If you want, there's an evening game drive to catch antelopes, elephants, and possibly lions.

- Day 6
Queen Elizabeth National Park
An early game drive searches for lions, leopards, forest hogs, Cape buffalo, and elephants across grassy plains, forest, rivers, and volcanic craters. In the afternoon, take a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward where you'll spot hippos and other wildlife coming down to drink at the shoreline.

Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi
Start with a game drive in the Ishasha Area looking for tree-climbing lions and large herds. Then drive through the Kigezi Highlands, which people call the 'Switzerland of Africa' because of the terraced hillsides and winding roads. You'll end up at Haven Lodge Buhoma, positioned at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where mountain gorillas live.

- Day 8
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, go to park headquarters for a briefing and to meet your trekking group. You'll trek through thick rainforest to find the gorillas. Tracking usually runs 3 to 8 hours depending on where they are, then you spend an hour watching them feed, play, and groom. Your ranger guides explain gorilla behavior and history before you return to the lodge to rest.

Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park and take an evening game drive when you arrive. You'll see zebra herds, Cape buffalo, and eland along the lakeshore. Bird enthusiasts can spot some of the 250 bird species in the park. After that, transfer to Rwakobo Rock for your accommodation.

Lake Mburo to Entebbe
A nature walk with an armed ranger gets you close to zebra herds and antelopes early in the morning. Back at the lodge for breakfast, then depart for Entebbe. There's a stop at the equator for photos before heading to the airport for your onward flight.
