Frankfurt to Cairo
You'll fly from Frankfurt to Cairo on Egypt Air or another reliable carrier. After landing, a representative meets you and takes you to your hotel for check-in and rest.

Cairo
A minibus heads out early toward Giza where you'll see the three pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykarinos along with the Valley Temple of Pharaoh Chefren and the Sphinx. Following lunch, the group moves on to the Grand Egyptian Museum (or Egyptian Museum in Tahrir if the Grand remains closed). The evening wraps up with a walk through El Moez Le Din Allah Street and Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the country's oldest and busiest markets.

- Day 3
Bahariya Oasis
An off-road vehicle takes you southwest to Bahariya oasis. In Bawiti, you'll check out the small museum featuring some of the Golden Mummies, plus the tomb of Panentiu and his father at Qaret Selim. After lunch, the group visits a camel farm to get close to the black camels Bahariya is known for, then drives to Gebel Dist and Maghrafa (the Pot Mountain and Ladle Mountain).

Black Desert and White Desert
Starting early, you head through the desert past Bir Matar to explore the lesser-known rock formations in the Black Desert, with its shattered granite massifs at Gebel Marsus. Moving south, the route takes you through the El Heiz depression, a small oasis with traces of Greco-Roman and Coptic Christian history. The day finishes at the White Desert where wind-carved limestone looks like animals and mushrooms before heading back to Bahariya.

Cairo to Luxor
After breakfast, you drive to Cairo airport for an afternoon flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, a transfer takes you to your Dahabiya, a traditional Egyptian sailboat. The crew greets you with a welcome drink and the rest of the day is free to settle in and rest.

- Day 6
Luxor West Bank
An optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor is available very early in the morning. Following breakfast on deck, you head to the west bank and explore the Valley of the Kings, visiting three tombs from the New Kingdom period (ca. 1550-1069 BC). You'll also see the Terrace Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. By midday you're back on the sailboat having lunch while cruising toward Esna.

Esna to Edfu
As the sun rises, your boat sails through the Esna lock with breakfast served on deck. You dock at Higz-Bahari village where a local named Asmaa shows you around and invites you for tea at her family's house. Later, the group visits the Horus Temple in Edfu, a large temple with black granite Horus statues at the entrance. After that, you moor at Ramadi village where dinner includes a traditional folklore evening held on a nearby island.

Aswan
An hour's sail at sunrise brings you to Aswan. From there, a motorboat takes you to the Saratoga and Gazal conservation areas to see native vegetation and spot local and migratory birds. Walking through a Nubian village on Elephantine Island, you visit a weaving mill and have karkade with a local family. After lunch, you walk through the botanical island, then take a boat to Philae Island to see the Temple of Isis before stopping at the Aswan spice market on the way back.

- Day 9
Aswan
The morning is yours to do as you like. An optional bus trip to Abu Simbel can be arranged to see the famous rock temples of Ramses II, which were relocated over 60 meters higher before the Nasser Reservoir was created. The temple aligns with sunrise twice yearly creating an unusual sight. You return to your Dahabiya for lunch while sailing to Herdiab, located just before Kom Ombo.

Kom Ombo to Esna
After breakfast, you visit the double temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, with its symmetrical layout. In nearby Daraw, you can explore the vegetable and camel markets where local farmers sell fresh goods. You'll walk through Bisaw Island's village to see rural Nile life, then sail on toward Esna.

Luxor
Morning brings a sail through the Esna lock with breakfast on deck for the final stretch to Luxor. In the afternoon, you visit the temple complexes of Karnak and Luxor Temple, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. A horse-drawn carriage takes you along the 3-kilometer Sphinx Avenue to Luxor Temple. That evening, you join the crew for a festive folklore celebration to say goodbye.
