Moc Village, Ba Vi District
About 1.5 hours outside Hanoi, Moc village is where you'll spend the day doing rural activities. You'll pick tea leaves from a 30-year-old plantation, learn to cook Vietnamese dishes with a local host, cycle through rice fields, and finish with a traditional herbal foot soak to relax.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
After breakfast you head to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. By around noon you'll board your cruise and have lunch while sailing through hundreds of limestone islets. The afternoon opens up for swimming, kayaking, or visiting caves, then you watch the sunset from the deck before dinner as the boat stays anchored overnight.

Halong Bay to Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast happens on the cruise as you head back to port, then an early lunch before you get off. A driver transfers you to Hanoi airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where another driver meets you and takes you to your hotel for check-in. You have the rest of the day free to settle in.

Mekong Delta Excursion
You travel to My Tho on the Mekong River and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, then board a sampan to cruise past the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise islands. On Unicorn Island you walk through country lanes and see orchards with tropical fruits plus folk music performances. Later you ride a hand-rowed sampan through canals, stop at family businesses and a honey-bee farm, and tour a coconut candy workshop. After lunch, cycling through Tan Thach village lets you connect with locals before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Cu Chi Tunnels
Departing at 8:00 am, you travel about 60km to Cu Chi Tunnels, a legendary underground system with over 220km of passages from the Vietnam War. You can crawl through tunnel sections, see hidden corners, check out smokeless stoves used by soldiers, and try wartime foods. Optional activities include shooting an AK-47. The tour wraps up by 2:30 pm and returns you to the city.

Angkor Archaeological Park
You spend the full day exploring Angkor's ancient ruins. The South Gate of Angkor Thom features colossal carved faces, and you'll walk through Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of the Leper King. Angkor Wat itself is a 12th-century masterpiece covering about 210 hectares with galleries, columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds. Later, the jungle-covered Ta Prohm with its massive fig trees and creepers wrapped around stone foundations offers a different kind of exploration.

Siem Reap Highlights
After breakfast you take a traditional wooden boat on Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating villages. During the wet season this becomes one of Asia's largest freshwater lakes with distinctive floating villages, stilt houses, and fish traps. You'll also visit the Western Baray, an irrigation reservoir that once served Angkor, then stop at Chantiers Ecoles to see traditional Khmer stone carving and wood sculpting. The day ends at Psar Chars, the lively Old Market where you can browse through all sorts of goods.

The afternoon is yours for whatever interests you most.

If you're an early riser, you can join the daily alms-giving ritual where saffron-clad monks collect sticky rice offerings, a unique tradition only preserved in Laos.
