  Traveling with Viet Long Travel on the Mekong River Cruise was unforgettable. Mr. Minh helped us with all the arrangements before we arrived, answering every question patiently and making sure we felt confident about the journey. The boat was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Cruising down the Mekong was like stepping into a different world – quiet, scenic, and full of surprises. We loved stopping at small villages along the way and seeing everyday life along the riverbanks. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and we always felt safe and cared for. Arriving in Luang Prabang by river was magical. A trip of a lifetime!

  A once-in-a-lifetime river adventure. I’ve always wanted to see Laos, and this trip was the perfect way to do it. Traveling from Chiang Mai through Northern Thailand and into Laos by boat gave me a whole new appreciation for the Mekong River and the cultures along its banks. The slow boat experience was serene – we passed fishermen, children waving from the riverbanks, and jungle-covered mountains that looked untouched. Each stop was well thought-out, from the Pak Ou Caves to tiny villages where life hasn’t changed much in decades. Our guide helped bridge the cultural gap and made everything feel immersive and respectful. I loved arriving in Luang Prabang feeling like I had really traveled, not just visited. Would do it all again one day.

  A Perfect Blend of Adventure and Relaxation. This cruise was an absolute highlight of our Southeast Asia trip! Starting from Chiang Mai, we crossed the border to Huay Xai and embarked on a scenic journey along the Mekong. Each day offered something unique, from the serene sunrise views over the river to visiting remote villages where locals warmly welcomed us. Pakbeng was a charming midpoint, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The meals onboard were delicious, with a mix of local flavors that kept us excited for every meal. Ending in Luang Prabang felt like the perfect finale—a stunning town with a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend for those who love slow travel with cultural depth!

  The Mekong River Cruise from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang was the best travel decision I made. Each day felt like a discovery; from visiting local markets to trying rice whiskey at a village, I felt immersed in Lao culture.   I just finished the Lifetime Mekong River Cruise from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, and it was fantastic! The scenery along the river was gorgeous, and the crew was super friendly and helpful. The boat was comfortable, and the local meals were delicious. I loved exploring Pak Beng and soaking in the charm of Luang Prabang with its beautiful temples and vibrant night market.   The "Lifetime Mekong River Cruise" from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang was a dream come true. From the moment we boarded at Huay Xai, the staff made us feel like royalty. The cruise itself was luxurious but not over the top, with comfortable cabins and large windows offering breathtaking views of the Mekong River. I especially loved the stop at Pakbeng – such a peaceful little town where we had a chance to interact with locals. Each day felt balanced between relaxation and adventure, and by the time we arrived in Luang Prabang, I wasn’t ready for it to end.   Fabulous Mekong River Cruise Tour from Chang Mai Thailand to Luang Prabang Laos. A fabulous tour booked with Vietlong Travel from Australia. Mr James was excellent with correspondence from the start. He was very prompt, friendly, helpful and gave very detailed information and even checked with us during the tour to make sure everything was perfect. All of our guides - Miss Suzy (Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong, Xiong, "the Happy Buddha" (Shompoo Cruise from the border to Luang Prabang) and Pang in Luang Prabang city were wonderful guides and very knowledgeable. We were very thankful to Xiong for getting us an upgrade to a room with air con at Pakbeng as it was so hot that day🥵 The longboat cruise was a wonderful experience and so relaxing with great food and views! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Laos and would highly recommend booking tours with Mr James and Vietlong Travel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  Another great trip by Vietlong Travel. This time we landed in Chiang Mai toured Northern Thailand including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong before crossing the border into Laos and taking the cruise to Luang Prabang via Pak Beng. From Luang Prabang we went to Kuang Si Waterfall then come back Luang Prabang to finish our trip. As always Vietlong Travel was first rate and the travel guides they employed for us were exceptionally nice and knowledgeable people who were prepared to go the extra mile to ensure we were catered for, especially with border crossings, hotel check-ins and touring. Although we didn’t catch up with anyone from Vietlong Travel they still made sure we could contact them and asked how our trip was going through messaging to make sure we were not having any issues that needed to be dealt with. This was the second time I used Vietlong Travel and it certainly won’t be the last, I can’t recommend them enough for any custom SE Asian itinerary. Ms Loan is a wonderful travel agent and unlike travel agents in the west, Vietlong Travel do not try to skim but offer a great value and well detailed itinerary.
