Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Uganda

    You'll land in Uganda where your tour rep meets you at the airport and arranges transport to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in or walk around the neighborhood on your own. You'll connect with your tour leader at 6 pm to go over what's ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park

    After breakfast, you're heading out for roughly 7 hours of driving to reach Kibale Forest National Park. The route takes you through rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional Ugandan villages, so you'll get a real sense of the country. Once you arrive at your accommodation, you'll have the evening to get settled.

  3. Day 3

    Bigodi Swamp & Chimpanzee Tracking

    This morning starts with a walk along the wooden boardwalk through Bigodi Swamp where you can watch for monkeys, baboons, and birds like the Blue Turaco. Later, you'll have traditional food at Tinka's homestead with a local family. The afternoon takes you to Kanyachu Tourist Centre to track chimpanzees through the forest.

  4. Day 4

    Game Drive & Boat Cruise

    Starting early after breakfast, you drive through the wildlife corridor into Queen Elizabeth National Park. A 4-wheel drive game drive gets you looking for buffalo, lions, elephants, and leopards. You'll break for lunch back at camp, then take a boat ride down the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon to see hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and water birds.

  5. Day 5

    Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha) to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    You'll be up early for a game drive in the Ishasha sector hunting for tree-climbing lions, antelopes, buffaloes, and elephants. After lunch, it's a drive northeast to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you'll stay the night.

  6. Day 6

    Gorilla Family Tracking

    Following breakfast, you head to park headquarters for your gorilla family assignment. From there, you trek through rainforest trails with thick undergrowth, listening to forest sounds around you. The main event is your face-to-face encounter with mountain gorillas in their natural setting, something that takes real effort but stays with you.

  7. Day 7

    Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park

    You leave Bwindi early and drive northeast about 7 hours to Lake Mburo National Park. After grabbing lunch, you check into your lodge and head out that evening for a game drive. As dusk comes on, you're watching for impala, zebras, Rothschild Giraffes, eland antelopes, and maybe a leopard or two.

  8. Day 8

    Lake Mburo National Park to Entebbe

    An early morning guided nature walk brings you closer to wildlife on foot, where you can spot barbets, lapwings, snipe, zebras, elands, and impalas. Back for breakfast, you check out and drive to Entebbe. Day rooms are waiting for you to use until it's time to head to the airport.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with One World Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and One World Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
