Saigon to Binh Chau to Lagi

You'll head out on a 2.5 hour transfer from Saigon to reach the countryside, then get on your bike for the first time. The ride takes you through rubber plantations and tropical fields with local villages scattered along the way. Morning cycling covers about 35km to Binh Chau where you'll stop for lunch, then another 30km along the coast toward Lagi. By evening you'll arrive at a farmstay for the night, so expect a full day in the saddle but nothing too intense to start.

You'll cover about 30km along the coast on less developed roads, passing the fishing hamlet of Vinh Hai and riding past granite rocks in Nui Chua National Park. The route follows the edge of the coastline the whole time, so ocean views keep things nice throughout the day. You'll arrive in late afternoon with time to catch the sunset at the beach.

Along the way you'll ride past sweet potato fields, tapioca, rice paddies, and more fishing villages. The routes can adjust depending on how everyone's feeling to make sure you reach the hotel before dark.

A wonderful ride through the many a varied landscapes of Vietnam. Our tour started in the riverine terrain of the Saigon River taking in the sights of the Cu Chi tunnels then transitioning through the foothills to the mountains of the central highlands. We then cycled down to the central coast arriving in Hoi An. Vietnam is a veritable Garden of Eden. A lush and fertile land blessed with many wonderful vegetables, herbs and fruit. Our guide was a passionate Vietnamese man, Mr. Loc, who took great delight in showing us the varied and delicious cuisine. Mr. Loc and his driver Mr. Nhuan took great care of us keeping us well supplied with drinks and healthy snacks along the route.

This one of the most life changing experiences we've ever done. To meet so many different types of people, to see how happy they are to meet you, give you gifts and invite you into their homes was extraordinary. Our guide Lythangloc was the real deal. From the Mekong area he knew the area and the people intrinsically. Very considerate of our adaptation to the climate and environment heensure
