- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and get settled at your hotel in Miraflores. After checking in, spend the rest of the day walking around the Miraflores and Barranco neighborhoods at your own pace. Both areas have plenty to see, from coastal views to local shops and galleries. When you get hungry, the city's restaurant scene is worth exploring, with options ranging from traditional Peruvian to international cuisines.

Lima to Cusco
A private transfer takes you to the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Once you land and check into your hotel, your guide meets you to start exploring the city. You'll walk through narrow stone alleyways to see the Coricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas. The day also includes stops at nearby archaeological sites like Sacsayhuamán, Quenqo, and Puca Pucara. Later, you'll wander through the San Blas quarter and check out the Mercado Central de San Pedro market before finishing with lunch at a local restaurant.

Ollantaytambo
Your hotel pickup happens around 8:30 am for the drive into the Sacred Valley toward Pisac, a village with a traditional market and an impressive Inca fortress. You'll get several photo stops along the way to capture the terraces and mountain views. In the afternoon, you head to Ollantaytambo to explore the well-preserved Inca Fortress and ceremonial site. The town itself is worth wandering, with winding alleyways that still follow the original Incan street layout and llama-shaped ruins nearby.

You'll leave Ollantaytambo train station around 11 am for a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes. Lunch stops along the way at a local restaurant. After checking into your hotel, the afternoon is yours to explore the town or relax in the hot springs if you want to ease into things before the big day ahead at Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu
An early morning bus takes you up to Machu Picchu (about 25 minutes to reach the 2,400 m elevation). Your guide leads a 2-hour tour of the Incan citadel with plenty of time for photos and exploring. If you're interested, there's an option to climb Huayna Picchu mountain for different perspectives. After, the bus brings you back down to Aguas Calientes, then you board the train back to Ollantaytambo where private transport drives you back to Cusco.
