    Lucerne

    Your first day in Lucerne is yours to shape. Wander through the squares and churches at your own pace, or check out the shops in the city center. The Reuss River runs through town, and you'll find plenty to see as you get settled in.

  2. Day 2

    Lucerne

    After breakfast, you'll join a guided walking tour that covers Lucerne's main landmarks. The Lion Monument, Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and Water Tower are all on the route. You'll also see the Jesuit Church before the tour wraps up.

    This morning features a special excursion to Mount Pilatus or Mount Stanserhorn (depending on seasonal conditions) where you'll get views over central Switzerland. If weather doesn't cooperate, the Swiss Transport Museum becomes your alternative. You'll board your ship this evening for an overnight cruise to Breisach.

    Choose between exploring Vernon's Chateau des Tourelles on foot with your Adventure Host, taking a guided tour of Giverny where Claude Monet lived and painted, or visiting Bizy Castle. A traditional French crêpe lunch comes onboard with a pastry demonstration. Later you'll cruise to Les Andelys for an afternoon hike to Château Gaillard ruins or a guided walking tour. The evening cruise takes you to Caudebec.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.

    ship was excellent, food and drinks were great, adventures perfectly organized,all crew members were extremely friendly and helpful. One person was outstanding and needs to be mentioned: our cruise director GAYLE. She was just outstanding and the best we ever experienced.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
