Your first day in Lucerne is yours to shape. Wander through the squares and churches at your own pace, or check out the shops in the city center. The Reuss River runs through town, and you'll find plenty to see as you get settled in.

Lucerne
After breakfast, you'll join a guided walking tour that covers Lucerne's main landmarks. The Lion Monument, Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and Water Tower are all on the route. You'll also see the Jesuit Church before the tour wraps up.

Lucerne to Breisach
This morning features a special excursion to Mount Pilatus or Mount Stanserhorn (depending on seasonal conditions) where you'll get views over central Switzerland. If weather doesn't cooperate, the Swiss Transport Museum becomes your alternative. You'll board your ship this evening for an overnight cruise to Breisach.

Three guided options are available today. Explore the Black Forest with an open-air museum and butter-making demonstration, visit the medieval village of Colmar with wine cellar access, or walk through Freiburg's medieval streets surrounded by vineyards. An evening cruise takes you to Strasbourg overnight.

You'll dock in Koblenz for the evening with free time.

Choose between exploring Vernon's Chateau des Tourelles on foot with your Adventure Host, taking a guided tour of Giverny where Claude Monet lived and painted, or visiting Bizy Castle. A traditional French crêpe lunch comes onboard with a pastry demonstration. Later you'll cruise to Les Andelys for an afternoon hike to Château Gaillard ruins or a guided walking tour. The evening cruise takes you to Caudebec.
