The bus was spacious and clean (however, the Wi-Fi was not working well most of the time). The hotels were all very nice. Donna Laura was the only one that didn't seem very centrally located, but it was nice. Our driver, Alessandro, was a great driver and very pleasant. Saving the best for last, our tour director, Giacomo, was beyond fantastic. Great demeanor and very friendly… extremely knowledgeable… went out of his way on countless occasions to help the people in our group. The high season for Italy is June to September. From personal experience, July and August tend to be very hot (81°F to 88°F). If you are flexible with your travel dates May, June, September, and October might be your best bet. Crowds aside, these months combine the convenience of peak season with pleasant weather.
