    You'll arrive in Amsterdam and check into your hotel. After settling in, you have the day to yourself to wander through the city's shops and cafés at your own pace.

    Amsterdam to Nijmegen

    This morning starts with a guided canal cruise through Amsterdam's waterways, where you'll see the stately homes from the Golden Age. Later you'll head to Keukenhof gardens to walk through over seven million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths. By evening, you'll board your cruise ship and sail overnight to Nijmegen.

    Nijmegen

The evening includes the nightly Last Post Ceremony under the Menin Gate, with free time for dinner before the ceremony. You'll cruise to Middelburg after.

A botany lecture happens while sailing, then you'll overnight in Kinderdijk.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.

    ship was excellent, food and drinks were great, adventures perfectly organized,all crew members were extremely friendly and helpful. One person was outstanding and needs to be mentioned: our cruise director GAYLE. She was just outstanding and the best we ever experienced.
